Missing boys may be with mother in violation of custody order, Henderson Co. officials say

Officials say the two boys are believed to be in the custody of their mother, Emily Ann Brown, in violation of a custody order.

Have you seen them? Two young boys missing from Henderson County, North Carolina

Brown is believed to be operating a red 1996 Mazda Protege with North Carolina license plate TFV-3451.

Brown is wanted for two counts of felonious restraint, deputies said.

Henderson (not to be confused with Hendersonville which is in the NC mountains) is a city of about 16,000, and it is about 50 miles north of Raleigh, NC, and about 20 miles south of the Virginia state line.
It's a typical town of that size -- not a lot to offer young folks; some farming in the area. Interstate 85 goes through Henderson.

We don’t know why she lost custody. Look how many children have died due to abuse or negligence from their parent(s). I too hope that she truly loves the boys and will keep them safe but I fear for their safety, even though she is their mother.

I thought they were missing from Henderson COUNTY, not the town of Henderson.

Ack!! You're so right!! The "not to be confused with Hendersonville" sploodle in my post above is indeed the area we should consider.
H-ville is the county seat of Henderson County, and that county is way west in NC -- beautiful area -- H-ville is a very nice town -- many folks retire there -- there's "old money" there, too.

Good points all. She must have done something to lose custody, you're right about that. Do the kids have anyone trustworthy, able, and loving enuff to take care of them? What a doggone shame for those sweet little guys.

she doesn't instantly present as someone who would intentionally harm her kids, maybe poor judgment and lifestyle choices impacted her custody ?

Looks like they are alive and well. She's still posting about court ordered visits and throwing around accusations. But sounds like they are back with another guardian. (possibly father?)
