Details of Disappearance​

Conyers was last seen walking near the intersection of Weston and Carlisle Streets in Raleigh, North Carolina at 8:45 a.m. on October 16, 1995. He lived with his son in the 800 block of Weston Street, off Poole Road, at the time of his disappearance. An extensive search turned up no sign of him.

Conyers has a history of wandering away from home. His case remains unsolved.

What a sad illness... My father-in-law is at that stage and he already got lost once... He walked alone through downtown Santiago, Chile. He left in the morning and returned in the afternoon. He didn't even know how he got there. We were looking for him, calling everywhere, and nothing. When he came back, he said he'd been there so many times that it was impossible for him to get lost. I imagine something similar happened to Willie...
