Am I crazy or did AB tell them the officer's name that came out for the fire call? Strange that he could remember that off the top of his head. Oh well, maybe he had met him multiple times before.....I can assure you when my son died I could not tell you anyone's name that responded.......not one.

I'm just waiting for a family representative to come forward for Zahra demanding justice. I have yet to see it.

Anyway, I was just saying that I don't think funds would be a factor since I feel both the airfare and lodgings at a local hotel would be donated by those businesses or covered by donations.

IMO, I would prefer ALL the businesses in Hickory, North Carolina and Zahra's home country town in Austraila put up some REWARD MONEY for Zahra.

I haven't heard of any reward money being collected for Zahra except "perhaps" the standard $1,000.00 through Crime Stoppers.

Thank you Ada, what a wonderful example of a loving parent. Sometimes we need reminders that they are out there. That we aren't the only ones who belive childraising is serious business and devote ourselves to it as the most important job there is. This man may have been slow, but he knew taking care of his boy was the most important job he had.

I really needed that story right now to restore my faith in humanity so thanks again.

That's a good point. A sweet, kindly, loving grandmother begging and pleading for the return of her darling little grandbaby. That would at the very least touch a lot of hearts and create even more pressure on those responsible to give it up.

I actually think with this crowd we've seen so far there, any of them would have been happy to squeal for free if they knew anything (for two reasons -- to stick it to EB even further and to get another 15 mins, especially if it were 15 mins of being a "hero.")

DEMAND??? I thought LE "requested" records from Australia? The USA can't DEMAND anything from anyone in Australia, without a court order IF a court order would even work in Australia from the USA.

We don't know she gave up parental rights. We don't know the whole story.

She may legally be the only one in Aussie that can sign for the medical releases needed to get Dr's and Dentist's to release information to the police.

Only parents or legal guardians can sign medical release authorizations.

I don't know. :waitasec: The grandma took care of her but maybe they need the mother to give consent over there to release medical records?? Not sure of the laws in AU.

IIRC that was the pause in the 911 call the dispature found the officers name.
