If newspapers, mail, even food wrappers with a best before date, are found near her prosthetic leg that could give them a better idea of the timeline.

  • #422
Yes, it very well could. If for instance they locate a bag that was figured to be thrown out during the trash pickup of the week of say, September 25, and the leg is in there....they can pretty much conclude that she was not alive after the date of that trash pickup. That would narrow down the time line significantly.

True.Thanks

Oh my gosh what could that be??

I mean it can't be the leg because how would that provide a timeline??

It could in this sense--once she was "gone", the leg would no longer needed and could be discarded. It is unlikely they would have thrown it away while she was still with them.

With the recent requests for medical records and specifically the number on the prosthesis, I would assume it is still about finding the leg. The have not found the BODY, not looking for the BODY. The leg is also listed as missing.

Yes, this ^

Could be gathering info with the expectation of matching serial numbers on metal?

they also said in the presser that they were now extending the time out for someone seeing her in the last month vs two weeks.

they also said they got conflicting timelines from other family members but would not say which ones

Makes it sound like they might be questioning the validity of the furniture store sighting, doesn't it?

Some people here may wonder why I am so hell bent about her computer's online information regarding her activity in her Virtual Worlds.

Those of you who aren't familiar with virtual worlds would not know this but.. that would be a PERFECT place for her and her "friends" or virtual world "family" to actually ACT OUT her plans beforehand. And there would be cached chat logs.. ect and screen names of her friends that could be subpoenaed for questioning. I'm especially interested and intrigued now about this new development of an online "chat friend" sending over 10G's too!

I believe this would be so if they find the leg they can match the serial number, maker etc info to hospital records.

Also, my volume was horrible but they spoke of the evidence they were looking for as "it" - leads me to believe they are looking for specific item - the leg. :-((

The perps or possible perps or material witnesses...whatever you want to call them, are actually not all that creative. Perhaps they figure if they scatter evidence and enough time has passed and they attempt to conceal decomp in the trunk/trunks with gasoline, the time has come to call in this poorly conceived kidnapping/wrong child plan. Because, as someone has already alluded to, there was a visit coming up or some reason why the child would have to be produced.

:(

*Pouting - Hated the 30 second wait to post. I am also saddened they are NOT looking for her body. Did they maybe find something at the tree/mulch site and know there will be NO body??? If I am correct the tree/mulch place is NOT that far from the landfill. Maybe both are off Highway 18? Highway 18 runs through Lenoir (Caldwell County) and Morganton (Burke County).

So did they discount the furniture store lady's story of seeing Zahra for a timeline? Does anyone know?

I wonder why they didn't also dump her hearing aids? Just sloppy? Or, did they think those being left behind would give credence to the bogus ransom note/abduction lie? I despise them. Both of them. :furious::furious:

If it's true EB received $10k from someone in the UK she'd met online, what was that money for? Is it related to Zahra's disappearance? Could she have been handed over to someone for the cash? If so, a discarded computer or hard drive in the landfill might show the conversations and arrangements made with this other person and lead to a timeline and some answers.

Just tossing it out there...haven't really thought it through yet.

I understood the LE to say they are still searching other areas but the search at the dump is for some other piece of evidence not her body.

Might have something to do with the "inspector" they were asking to come forward. Someone was likely due to be at that house for some reason. If that reason was Zahra...well there you go.

MOO

I don't think so. I think the furniture store was the ONLY place that someone could put here as still alive. I just think they are looking for more sightings?

I think hey are looking for her prosthetic leg. JMHO.

Very true, wonder if any computers were found in the home? Dont remember that on search warrants, but there's a lot I dont remember :innocent:

Thot of something else, what do the dogs hit on? I'm not sure they would hit on electronics. Would they?

I was hoping to hear something during the presser re the $10,000. But we didn't, did we? Did I just miss it? I must have misunderstood as the way it was initially presented, I thought, made it sound as though it was going to be one of the hot items addressed. :waitasec:
