I once had a dog - a dobie/pit bull mix - that actually did bark at a fire and wake me up. Lake property...rural...neighbors woodpile caught on fire (he had been burning that day) at about 3 or 4 am. My dog barked her fool head off at that fire. Woke me up, I looked outside and saw flames about 10 feet high and called the VFD.

Anyways, as hinky as the entire scenario at the Bakers is, whatever may have gone down that night, that is the one detail I actually can believe.
*shrug*

Oh I think a dog would bark at a fire, sure. But same dog is most likely to bark at a fire that a stranger set.....which doesnt play out in AB's statement. His statement indicated that the dog barked at a fire that strangers supposedly set, when its more likely a dog would have barked at strangers AS they were setting the fire, and they might be caught in the act. IOW, it was a convienient way to explain how he all of a sudden "woke up".

Couldn't AB's ever changing excuses about seeing Zahra be a simple case of not wanting to tell the world he was too strung out on drugs to see his daughter was in trouble.

At this moment, I do not believe Adam had anything to do with the disappearance of his daughter.

IMO, I feel that the ruse that Elisa setup with regards to the fire failed and she had to come up with another story upon Adam's return from looking for a job or going to work.

Perhaps Elisa felt that once she started the fire in the back yard, and wrote the note, she may have figured that the police would go inside her home to check the house and make sure it was secure and they would then see Zahra was missing.

At that point, the scenario of "they" took the wrong child would come forward. Since that didn't happen and perhaps Adam at some point during the day, would want to see Zarah and go into her room, Elisa had to come up with another plan, of which, was Elisa coming out of the house screaming that Zahra was gone upon Adam's return.

I feel the dog didn't bark with the onset of the fire as the dog knows Elisa, however, a little tantalizing of the dog would make the dog bark and wake up Adam.

Elisa had plenty of time from the moment Adam left to go look for work or go to work to go anywhere to dispose of "articles" of Zahra.

At times I dismiss all the "chatter" from relatives about beatings, and then I put them back in my thoughts in order to come up with a reason for Zahra missing and why she is missing.

I feel Adam is a very gullible man and was fed a lot of "poop" especially about the onset of Zahra going into puberty. A man hasn't got a clue when a female is starting puberty and what they may act on while in the process of puberty. However a woman would know and Elisa probably told Adam the reason why Zahra is in her room etc., due to her attitude, puberty, etc., etc.

I also feel when Adam mention the puberty statement is because he only just recently heard it and his chuckle was a form of embarrassment because he realized he made that statement.

Now, I wish I had a clue why sweet, precious Zahra is missing. I feel though that Zarah may have been sleeping when this happened, and was not aware of anyone coming into her room.

I so wish that I could think the same about AB. I would love to find out he did not hurt Zahra or cover up her murder. I can see how your theory on Elisa and the fire cover up/ murder cover up might work. Good points about the puberty comments too - I'll just bet AB did get those comments from EB.

I'm on the fence about him hurting Zahra - I do think it is now possible he did. I definitely think he helped in the cover up and disposal of Zahra. Zahra might have lashed out at EB and AB could have defended his wife and went to far, with parents being on drugs anything is possible.

It could be that in the panic to dispose of her that her leg was forgotten until later and so, disposed of in a different manner. I dunno, just trying to brainstorm.

could happen, especially if you are really high or on a multi-day binge.

or too strung out to care?

My guess on scamming people out of money online would be playing the poor I have cancer role, and I have no insurance or way to pay for treamtment that is the only way I can see anyone sending 10 grand in a year.

Anything is possible. I hope we we find out very soon.

This shocks me, too. Why call boss man before 911? It makes absolutely no sense!

Also, good theory above on prosthetic as murder weapon. Very sad thought, but could be spot on.

(i'm so on and off today. we had our own little drama here just a bit ago. home invasion a few houses down. lots of activity. i feel immersed in crime at the moment. ugh /ot rant)

Thank you :)

I hear ya! Sometimes I wonder why it seems that there is so much crime (more than I ever remember when I was a kid thats for sure) But is it that there is actually more than before? I think we're just more aware of it today because the Internet, fast communication, social networks, and the media are reporting things at lightning speed and our awareness of what is happening in the world is fantastically accelerated and amplified.

Ahh the good 'ol days... I miss them!

I hope your day settles peacefully from all of the hullabaloo.

I had this thought too a few days ago...but after hearing the 911 tape, I just dont think this is the case. Not that I dont think that EB is capable of doing it on her own, she is. However, there are just too many other things that dont add up. NO ONE has seen the child for a long time, AB himself keeps throwing out excuses why he hasnt seen her either (which arent reasonable at all), and his laughter during a call that was meant to report that his daughter had been kidnapped in a case of mistaken identity....no innocent parent would LAUGH in this case. Calm demeanor? Perhaps...but not laughter, no way.

My thoughts about others not seeing Zahra is as simple as they never were out when Zahra was out. Unless there is a neighbor that sits at their window day in and day out and watches everyone, people come and go without being seen all the time.

I have two teens about 50 steps across the street from me. I never see them, but then I am not looking out my window. The only time I am aware they are outside is if they are playing in the street and my dog starts barking or starts wagging his tail while looking out the door.

Heck, my neighbors hardly ever see me and our homes are about 20 feet apart. I think I get the opportunity to wish my neighbor Happy New Year in August.

AB's chuckling during that call knocked me right off the fence

I guess I'm pegging EB as fully in the 'Grifter' category.

I want to know what type of prothetic leg she had. Specifically.

Well, since we can't link and have no proof it was stated perhaps we need to edit. :)

Is "allegedly" not allowed? Doesn't matter to me either way, guess we'll find out this weekend right ;)

I do have proof, hang on, there may be a trace of one posting, I'll see if I can find it. Give me a sec.

We really need to start collecting all the things that Amber said in court so we have them all in one place.

Earlier I heard that Elisa would leave the state if she was released from jail and now there is another statement where Amber states Elisa was thinking of leaving before she got arrested.

Is there one (reliable) MSM article that has all of these details within the same article?

I think Adam has had some inconsistencies too!! :banghead:

Eight hours later on the morning of Oct. 10, Adam Baker, 33, made a second 911 call to report his daughter was missing, police said.

"Hey, how are you doing? I need police," a seemingly calm Adam Baker said to one dispatcher, before he was transferred to a second dispatcher, who took down his information.

On a recording of the second call obtained by ABC News, Adam Baker said that the last time he saw his daughter was at 2:30 that Saturday morning. But two days later on "Good Morning America," Adam Baker said that because of his work schedule, he hadn't seen the girl since Thursday. The girl's stepmother, Elisa Baker, was the last one to see her alive at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Adam Baker said.

Question, why would they get rid of her body and throw her leg in the trash? Wondering what you guys think about that?

It could be the murder weapon, as other posters have stated... or maybe, if Zahra died in her bed (not wearing her leg), she was wrapped up in her bed sheets / blankets and taken out to the car and subsequently disposed of. Later when back at the house in her room, the forgotten leg is discovered...and dumped.

I wonder if Adam knew about the $10,000.00 dollars? They did have 3 passports in the car didn't they?

ITA this is so close to what ive been thinking its almost scary.
I had another thought about the work vehicle being doused in gas. What if she did that thinking when he drove it a fire would start killing him and she could say Zahra had been with her father.
