No body (no Karen Baker) has been on FB discussion boards. I wonder if she was asked to stop! Just thinking aloud. lol

Could she (Karen Baker) be traveling.....say to the US, maybe? Simply speculation on my part......

It says that AB claims not to have spoken to EB since her arrest. I thought someone had mentioned his having been one of her visitors at the jail?

Me too. I know I read that. Did you see it said he was removing his belongings out of the house?

I think some posters were speculating about why AB didn't visit his wife and confront her about what happened to Zahra. But we've heard no mention that he visited EB in jail.

It was reported (I dont know where off the top of my head) that he did visit her over the weekend.

As for the mattress, EB could have just written them a check. :couch:

So much I don't understand about the behavior here. trying to figure out what motivated this mightmare and how it was carried out boggles the mind.

I don't know how prevalent this in other areas or states, but here, we have websites like freecycle where you can get some very slightly very gently used items some are in like new condition.

It is a websites that takes recylcing to the next level. People who've got stuff they want to get rid off post it and people interested go pick it up. Of course there are PM sent back and forth, phone numbers exchanged, saftey concerns worked out etc.

They wouldn't have, they had no need for it and EB sure wouldn't have wasted good money for something no one was using.

I don't think it is the mattress at all that they are looking for-
the mattress taken from the house was slit down the middle, if LE didn't think Zahra had ever slept on the mattress there is no need to open it up, but if they thought she had used it opening it up to examine it for fluids would be expected.

Also if you watch the overhead shots of the landfill search they had a table set up like we've seen used for sorting items.

On the 911 tape he said "we checked in there about 2:30 and she was there"

He said "we". Can take that one of two ways. 1. He actually was part of the we that checked in there. or 2. he uses the word we to speak about himself or his wife in the context of their home or marriage, and he's relating what EB told him she did.Weird IMHO.

I don't remember his exact words but on NG they are reporting that he last saw her the Thursday prior to her missing.

Which is it? JMHO.

I do this often. For example : I might say "We called to make an appointment for DD last week", when really it was just me that made the call. But since hubby and I discussed it, it becomes a 'we' in my head. KWIM?


If I was involved in a potential homicide though I think I'd be choosing my words much more carefully.

Maybe they went to the trailer park to try to find one left by a dumpster. Or drove around until they found one - heck they may have taken one from the dump. I doubt they'd spend the money on a mattress they knew no one would be using.

(So sad. This little girl deserved everything. Tonight I was thinking that I wish she were in our kitchen so I could cook and bake and fill up her tiny tummy with good food. She should be picking out a Halloween costume and munching on candy. She should be playing with the little girls in the video we just watched. She had her whole life ahead of her. Bless you little Zahra Claire.)
