Maybe they went to the trailer park to try to find one left by a dumpster. Or drove around until they found one - heck they may have taken one from the dump. I doubt they'd spend the money on a mattress they knew no one would be using. :(

(So sad. This little girl deserved everything. Tonight I was thinking that I wish she were in our kitchen so I could cook and bake and fill up her tiny tummy with good food. She should be picking out a Halloween costume and munching on candy. She should be playing with the little girls in the video we just watched. She had her whole life ahead of her. Bless you little Zahra Claire.)

Amen <3

(shoot, I want to be at your house too :innocent: )

Why hasn't she been charged with felony bad checks In Ohio they call it Petty with a Prior, she would have been charged with a felony by now on the bad checks.

Yep, if she'd written all these bad checks in the Texas county where I live.. she would have had the book thrown at her (and felonies too).

At this point I do NOT believe that woman saw them in the furniture store.MOO

If you only knew.....it's my happy place. Guess it's an easy way to show my family I love them. Made three loaves of bread, homemade chili and banana cream pie today. You're welcome anytime - just bring your boots, they're calling for snow this weekend. ;)

Doesn't it make you wonder why any bank would give her a checking account? Don't they run a check when you open an account? It's been so many years since I've opened an account that I don't remember.

Banks do run checks.
Certain banks have checking accounts that you can open with terrible credit just by paying a monthly fee.

I think I've found our mysterious man in London - checking it out now and will post more in a bit.

Yes, they banks do check background. I'm baffled as to how she was pulling that off.

Her drivers license was revoked longgg ago - maybe NC has a state ID card she could use in lieu of showing a license? But that still doesn't explain why a bank would give her an account, even considering the bad check charges she was convicted for.

Maybe there are looser requirements if these accounts were opened in her husbands/boyfriends names and she was a secondary signer - still seems like she would be blacklisted from being on any checking accounts.

I was just thinking the same thing! :croc:

She is a good con though, she might be using her kids SS number! And she did just have a fight with her daughter for using her name for a utility bill.

Unfortunately, my family has had to experience this with my husbands ex. She did things I would never dream possible and nothing ever happened to her. (legally)

Im on the matress kick,
AB could have gone and got a new matress, a cheap matress set can be bought for about $100.00.
also I missed all the posts on "puberty" and girl issues, my daughter started 3 months before her 11th birthday. My DD is 5 months younger than Z, I guess thats why Im so obsessed with this tragedy, I just dont get it:furious:

BBM nice. excellent point. going to a place they knew it was common to have mattresses fly dumped or whatever. They did live there so maybe it is common for there to be spare mattresses laying near or in the dumpster.

Unless it was commonplace tho, can you opine as to how they would know to find one why they would "know" where to look for an old abandoned mattress? And wouldn't if be wet or ruined if it had sat out in the weather? I doubt they would take one from the dump or it would have been apparent that it had lain in filth and garbage. I didn't note any stains on Z's mattress when it was removed from the home.

hmm, going to chew on this food for thought you've offered :)

NC has a state ID card, as does SC.

EB wasn't above borowing someone's identity to obtain goods or services, bad check is always possible.

I'm wondering about him removing his stuff too... Where is he going... a family/friend, jail or deported for his charges...??

  • #516
I guessed he was asked to vacate the house sine LE does not yet know where the crime scene is. Wouldn't due to have AB traipsing all around a potential crime scene.

MOO I haven't heard any reported or confirmed reason in the media.

At our dump, all the mattresses are seperated and many are stacked on top of each other. You can drive right up to the piles of fridges, mattresses, tires, etc. They are in seperate places on the ground away from the bagged garbage and compost. But you still wouldn't use one in your house after it was left in the elements especially with the bed bug issue.

BUT... if EB acted alone, she would have had to had gotten a mattress on her own while AB was at work. So she'd have to remove the old one and get a new one in place, the bed made before he got home from work. Assuming AB wasn't involved.

I know here in Ohio, I can get a twin top mattress, brand new for as cheap as $25.00.. I would bet she/they would be willing to spend that to cover her/their butts...JMO

I wouldn't blame the landlord/boss if he asked him to leave after they ruined his work truck, scared his entire family with the ransom note, had his work equipment torn apart, his property searched for days on end, public humiliation, etc.

I'm just curious if he's leaving, is he doing it on his own? No way, no how would you move out of your house if your daughter was missing. That's one place you'd expect her to come back to if someone did take her. But we aren't dealing with at situation since LE is calling it a homicide.

I wonder if he's still employed? Maybe that's why he's moving. (Sorry, I feel like I'm talking to myself.)
