Respectfully, given that Zahra went missing somewhere around mid September at the earliest, AB would have to be completely obtuse. There is nothing normal or status quo about not having any idea whether or not you last saw your child on Tuesday or Thursday (his own words) and calling in her disappearance with inappropriate chuckles as he describes his child's broodieness and the fact that she only came "up" if she wanted something. Oh yeah, and he wasnt motivated to check on his child...the one who was deaf and had one leg, when there was a bonfire in the backyard and two vehicles soaked with gasoline. After all he was tired.

How did he know she didnt set it given how "broody" she was? Because he knew. JMVHO. He knew she was missing, he knew she didnt have her hearing aids and he knew where her leg was. Really, this is honestly what I believe.

I'm not suggesting AB isn't complicit in the cover-up. Just that he may have actually been excluded from the specific act(s) associated with disposal of Zahra's body; thus, he actually might not know where she is.

It is supposed to be that LE searched the landfill and everything says they came up empty handed, but did they search that undisclosed location and possibly find what they had been looking for. I think that LE are trying to solve a crime and do not really know who was involved yet. Therefore lets not let the cat out of the bag just yet. Lets not scare away AB not until LE has all of the necessary info to charge him and the evil step mother. Maybe somehow that info got leaked. I am really just hoping and praying for a miracle. That they are somewhat closer to a resolution for that beautiful little girls sake.

WElcome!!!!
We have heard 2 reports, Fox and the AU say that LE found the mattress.
Other sites say they have not found mattress............we just do not know the truth yet.
Thankyou. keep your ears and eyes open.

Yes, both news.com.au and heraldsun.com.au are Fox affiliates, which was the original source of this false report.

And it seems they aren't making any effort to correct it, are they?

Hi Everyone! I have been lurking on this thread for a while. I apologize, because I know that this has already been discussed, but what is the correlation of the mattresses to the furniture store where Z was seen with EB?

If the mattress was purchased while Z was there, were they still planning this thing ahead of time and just sick enough to want Z to know what was going to happen to her? Was there some other reason for buying a new mattress with Zahra present?

I find it hard to believe that a third person could have thought the fire/ransom note caper was a good plan. :waitasec:

I hope the mattress story is true:

The mattress belonged to the missing 10-year-old and was disposed of by Zahra's parents days before they reported her missing on October 9.

That means it's so premeditated, and bio-dad knew all about it.

I guess we'll have to wait n' see. I thought the mattress they carried out of the house looked a bit too new for comfort.

MOO

Mel
I hope so too! I know they have alot of info they're keeping close to the vest. They may very well have found Zahra's mattress!
It's the waiting that's so tough! And all the conflicting reports we hear about!
We all want this solved yesterday!

I believe you may be right. Also, she could've disposed of Zahra on her own while he was at work, therefore, the dogs hitting on both vehicles. She could've used the car for the body and the Tahoe maybe used for other evidence, such as the mattress. MOO

No, and I'm still waiting for my thankyou email from Rupert Murcoch :)

Third person might not necessarily have known what the fire/ransom plan was to be. That is something separate from disposing of the body.

I was watching NG tonight, which is a repeat of one from last week... but, on the show Natasha reported that LE had cadaver dogs out and they were searching for Zahra's remains at an undisclosed location. This was going on during one of the same days that they were also searching the landfill.
Has anyone seen any more about this? Was it ever reported in MSM?
I'm sure there's alot going on behind the scenes and out of the public eye, just wondering if anyone's heard anymore on this though.

Hi Sweetmop, Thanks for sharing that. I hadn't heard anything of that but I only get my news on-line at Google news. But I really like hearing that as I was wondering why they would spend all their people-power in the landfill looking for a "thing" and not looking for Zahra's body. And maybe that was done on purpose to keep the media away from where they were looking for the body because the media was all over the landfill search. It makes sense that a separate team would be out looking for her remains. I am praying so hard they find her remains as soon as possible. She deserves that. And then we can really get the evidence for this case.

I cringe that I even thought this but.....I was thinking she moved the body on her own, too. I thought maybe she waited a bit - maybe until morning -- maybe in a drugged-out stupor -- and then went to move Z's body into her car to dispose of. But, by that time, rigor mortis had set in and she could not successfully get her in there or hide her -- she needed the Tahoe. So maybe she waited for AB to come home and go to bed while she got up and moved Z to the Tahoe. That would explain the cadaver hits in both vehicles.

This is JUST A GUESS. That was my first thought.

I also don't think she left AB completely in the dark as I think she wanted to incriminate him so somewhere along the line, she got him to help with something.

That would explain why they have stopped the search of the landfill. They were searching multiple locations and found what they were looking for elsewhere. Hope you are right. Thanks.

This is the most recent report regarding the use of cadaver dogs, Oct. 19th date.

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5907508/zahra_clare_baker_still_missing_cadaver.html?cat=17

thanks I hadn't read this article.
Still talking about woodchipper.

Cadaver dogs caught the possible scent of human remains on two of the vehicles parked on the Baker residence earlier in the week. They also picked up scent from a wood chipper and mulch pile in Burke County where Adam Baker's employer stores machinery used in his tree trimming business.

There has been no sign of Zahra Baker.

and search included 3 counties where EB has lived!
Wonder if LE checked around friends and family residence also.

Yes they have to be looking for little Zahra, I'm sure. I just believe LE knows alot more and they're doing alot more that they're just not releasing to us yet! As much as we want to know about it.
I'm praying too!

Like everyone else, my heart goes out for Zahra!

I don't believe the father is guilty of anything but being an irresponsible parent. My bet is that he left all her care giving to his wife. He knew she was locking her in the room but for all we know she kept giving him excuse after excuse as to why she was being grounded and he probably just didn't get involved.

The cops being tight lipped is a good thing even though some of us would love to follow the case more closely. My guess is they are not charging the Father yet for any child abuse because they are hoping she spouts off. The longer she is in jail and becomes desperate she may start to talk more. Her character tells me this also.

My opinion is she was dead in that house at least a few days before she disposed of the body. It is all confusing because the step mom is without a doubt has physiological issues and this is why nothing is making sense to us.

Answers will come out soon enough.

OH I am a very newbie here but I have nothing but time on my hands so I would like to learn how to use tools and information to help locate or ease suffering from Victims and their families. If anyone would like to step up and be my mentor in helping me learn the ins and outs...please pm me.
