Maybe EB is helping to find evidence because it doesn't incriminate her. Maybe the mattress doesn't either.
And the middle name is Clare, named after KB's friend.
I, too, am not believing the rumor until I see some proof.

See I think that she was killed on the mattress. If DNA was found on there then one would assume that it was blood. Not good at all and this explains why the woman is talking.

Any bed that has been slept on would contain DNA for testing.

Misinformation is circulating that Zahra Baker’s remains were found stuffed in a mattress during today’s search on Christie Road in Hudson.

Hickory Police Chief Tom Adkins said there is no truth to the rumor.

Same article also states:
"This mattress possessed DNA evidence that will be tested in the future to confirm if it is involved with this investigation," Hickory police said in a statement.

That is a BIG if....

I'm sorry, but I still don't trust EB to give LE any kind of solid leads or help.

Here someone is saying LE said it is a nasty rumor, body has not been found (in comments under 2nd post from top).

They need evidence of a crime.

Yes, thank you!

Circumstantial evidence of a crime. A person can be successfully convicted of murder on circumstantial evidence of a crime that can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the crime occurred and the defendent was responsible for that crime. (Sorry I wasn't more clear, I tend to do that  :) be unclear!)

Are the Caldwell County Landfill and the Foothills Environmental Landfill one in the same?

So, if this report is correct, then they are saying the workers and Not searchers found it because they (LE) didn't go deep enough?

Sarx, if they didn't go deep enough the first time. I would think they would go back out and research just to make sure they didn't miss anything after the mattress reported as found, was found.

Do you think so?

Christie Road was blocked at both ends from 9 a.m. To 5 p.m. While few details were given by the search teams – consisting of the FBI, SBI, Hickory police and the Caldwell County sheriff's office – News 14 Carolina was told that crews did not find what they were looking for in the 1 acre they searched.

Crews recently searched 60 acres in Morganton with a similar result.

“You start taking ownership in this little girl. We all feel connected to Zahra and we all want to find her. I've got moms and dads out here that are police officers that just decided, 'look let's expand it, we've got some time, just make sure we've not missed anything,'” said B.J. Fore, of the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office.

Crews expect to be back out at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

There are days, that I hate the media. Monday, Tuesday, Wed........... It would be so nice if ANY two of them had the SAME report.

It's because they're all rushing to "be the first" to report a story instead of verifying facts first. Then, as more info becomes available, they're all changing their stories...

It makes me sick... get it right the first time and people won't be so misinformed...

They should just call in equusearch and EB or AB knows exactly where Zahra is in my opinion.
