He could always connect, but the only direct flight to Mexico from CLT goes to Mexico City at 0939. More likely he was looking for a flight to the W Coast and then on to Australia, wouldn't you think?

No more rumors about AB trying to fly out somewhere.

Period.

Uuuhhh, any of us in the USA know that you don't need a passport to cross our borders. Our borders are as holey as fishnets!!

As Americans, he is not, he is an Australian and I still doubt very much that he had an American passport. I could be wrong of course. But he is not crossing any American boarder without a passport as an Australian citizen.

No money, no passport, most watched man in North Carolina - He wouldn't be boarding any flts in America to then connect onto an international flt without a passport.

okay removed my speculation.

He wouldn't be able to book a flight without passport, but he sure could fly to Texas or Arizona or even California for that matter. You can get to Mexico easy enough undetected from those places.

Now I thought that dad said with a chuckle that Zahra was broody, which has a slightly different context, especially for our friends in Aussie land or across the big pond, IIRC....I always thought broody or broodieness applied to wanting to have a baby.

Which drains the blood from my face in terms of this case.

There were quite a few flts that came in around midnight - his family could have been on any one of a number of them. They have to pick up luggage and go through customs, the flt could have also been a bit late, also factor in the time it takes to drive from the apt to the police station. The time line adds up to when he was in police custody at approx 3.12am.

Even supposing what he said was true :innocent: His family are in Australia, which mean that they would have flown into the W Coast and gone thru Customs and Immigration at that airport . NO customs and Immigration would have been needed at CLT for a connecting domestic flight. Nothing comes direct to CLT from Australia.
If other family were coming in, not from Australia, but on a domestic flight then all they had to do was proceed to baggage claim. Last flight in was documented landing at 0042. It was not late. It does not take them that long to get down to the carousels..

It beggars belief that he is there for any other purpose than to get the first flight out....

Not true- you must have a passport to enter another country from here by plane.
And trust me you aren't getting across the Canadian border without one (or an enhanced ID in WA)

What car does he have left to drive?? :waitasec:

Not sure what he is driving but I would bet that it has a GPS locater from LE he was not about to get very far without LE knowing about it.

way behind here, trying to catch up, but yes, fluids and secretions are released upon death, fact of the end of life I've seen many times. Sorry guys, just true.

I'm also trying to catch up here & don't want to be graphic either. But there had to be something about that mattress which made it obvious to a landfill employee it was THE mattress LE was looking for, correct ? Based upon much of what I've read here today ... I'm thinking it was possibly that awful smell of decomp. JMO

Yes, I suspect they went straight out to CLT as he was pulling in to airport parking, if they weren't already tailing him.

That is entirely possible but it is also possible that after the big search of landfill alst week, LE upon leaving that search area, cautioned employees about what they were seeking, and perhaps described it to them, asking that anything resembling it be set aside and LE called to inspect.

BTW Do we have confirmation (media link or newssource name) that an employee of landfill found it?

Sorry, I have been at work

Dubs also missed Tuesday’s session. Before a judge on Tuesday, attorney Jason White explained that Dubs couldn’t make the hearing.

“Ms. Dubs’ client was actually taken from the jail to various sites and again, that's the plan for today,” White said.

Tuesday’s postponement marked the third delay in the change of venue hearing.

This is very interesting and could be telling. Thanks Teh!

So LE wanted this mattress to verify a timeline. They claim that the parents threw it out in early Oct. They got this information from someone....likely AB himself. If there is evidence of decomp or anything relating to Zahra being deceased on that mattress, AB has to be involved.

If not...then what?

They dug it up out of the landfill, everything has an awful smell to it. I think it was much less exciting. I think they were in the grid area, working the fill over as they always do, came across another mattress and called it in.
