Husband just texted me. They are STILL focusing in that bedroom. They are going over the one wall very thoroughly. Not sure what they found/did while he was at home. I'm sure he is talking to everyone up there to get caught up though.

I just have to say....I love my husband. He is doing this because he knows how caught up I am in this child. I want her found and I want her to be able to go home and be laid to rest where she was loved and happy!!! That is so important to me!

All the lights were out earlier and they were searching for bodily fluids.

So, from the latest developments:
*Zahra was last seen by Brittany (per EB and AB's neighbor) on Thursday, Oct. 7.
*Zahra's prosthetic was found off Christie Road, Tuesday, Oct. 26.
*AB bonds out of jail Tuesday, Oct. 26.
*PER LE Zahra's "body has not been found." Tuesday, Oct. 26.

Can someone add these to the timelines and anything else I might of left out? TIA.

PunkNLuv, do you know if they are still out there? If so, I will go for more photos. Maybe meet your hubby?

Hi! My hubby is going back up there right now. I think you 2 should be the WS journalist/camera crew for the night hehe. His name is Pete, he's 6'1 1/2 with a goatee and a UNC hat. He will have on a stripped black shirt and jeans. If you want to pm me your name that would be cool....you can meet up with him up there.

Slightly O/T, but this is one of my favorite things about WS (aside from all the terrific work that goes on here, of course). Potential "real-life" friendships forming definitely makes me smile admist all the sadness and frustration from today's findings. Thanks again Sherlock & Punkn (and Mr. Punkn) and all the other locals for the tremendous work you've done. =) In my little dreamworld, you guys meet up at the house, hit it off, and unwind over cold beverages once this is all over. Heck, I'd buy if I lived closer. :-)

I wonder whose fingerprints will be found on Zahra's prosthetic leg???

Oh goodness guys....so sorry. I missed the greenlight lol. It's not really anything major I just didn't want to post hearsay without approval.

Anyway, the neighbor my husband was talking to said Brittany had told her she was with Zahra the Thursday before she went missing. Not sure how that figures into the time line. I'll recheck with my husband about anything else she said.

Also I didn't mean to get you guys thinking I had major news lol. ooops :)

wow! that's insanely huge!

...that would mean that she did in fact live in that house.
...and that someone other than the furniture store mgr. saw her alive ( and much more recently than the sept. 25th sighting by the store mgr. )
...surely daughter BS has told all of this to L, or the neighbour has called them with this information.

I kind of hope that maybe Brittany or someone did see her on Thursday. That means less time for the guilty party before the heat got turned on.
It also means that there may be a slight glimmer of a hope that maybe....just maybe her Daddy really didnt know.

I mean, this is horrific, yes...but this little girl trusted her Dad to keep her out of harms way. He should have done that, of course. BUT it just seems more painful to know that this father could have done something with his dead daughters body without any obvious remorse.

I really hope deep down in my heart that AB had nothing to do with this. The likeliness is slim, I know...but thats her Daddy, you know? Her prince charming, her knight in shining armor, the one who should give the best hugs and let her dance on his toes. This man is none of those, but I seriously wish he was such an idiot that he really had no clue..no clue at all.

Wishful thinking, huh?

Well if they truly did see Zahra that day then it might explain why they've been so supportive of AB. He claims he saw his daughter up and awake on Thursday. He didn't say he saw her at night that I know of. They might believe that EB really could have done this herself.

MOO

Thinking a little more about the prosthesis and why the Chief said it would take some time to make a definitive match...

What if someone tried to destroy the leg via burning, wood chipper, some other means? Doing so could have possibly damaged the imprinted serial number such that a positive ID of it might take some forensic work, hence LE being unable to state immediately that the match had been made.

My daughter and I both thought it was hair possibly tangled with leaves (or *gulp* flesh)

Crap, I really don't see anything! This reminds me so much of the Caylee "book" in the woods pics all over again. I can never see anything that everyone else is seeing!

Actually if true that is BIG news because that means Zahra was alive on that Thursday.

Absolutely...one week before she was missing she was seen by someone or in their company. I can see why LE would like someone outside the family to confirm that.

You have a fantastic hubby!

Interesting that they are still in there collecting and searching for evidence. This tells me they are pretty sure this is the the initial crime scene. Hopefully and maybe they did find Zahra but are withholding that information.

Praying they did, and big announcement tomorrow afternoon.

I just want to say what a great job everyone here has done. From the start of this, and all the way through I've been constantly amazed at how much everyone has stuck to it, how much has been laid out for discussion, how much everyone has worked together to find out the truth. It's been a pretty winding road, too. We're so close now!

kind of ot: I feel like I've gotten to know you guys and gals through this, in some ways, as well. And I've learned a lot, too. /ot

so for all that, I want to say thanks! I'd suggest a group hug but in all the checking in here, I've also been packing...so I kinda smell.

ok enough mushy stuff. Back to work!

Fixed that and today is also when the Hickory Police Chief confirmed Zahra's body has NOT been found also. I am so tired I can't keep up.

I think when Zahra is found all of us locals need to get together and do a little WS memorial for her.

  • #437
To clarify....it was EBs daughter. BS that said she was with Zahra.

My husband and Sherlock Homey are on scene together right now :)

Trying to catch up. OMG the found her leg???
Grim.

Gonna go back and try to read.

Bless you Zahra Clare Baker!! You did not deserve this honey.

I think Punk said this:
"...the Thursday before she went missing"

I am assuming we are talking about a week before she was called in...when AB saw her on Tuesday or Thursday depending on which you believe.

..i'm thinking elisa's , since she led them to it.

..however, they could both have plausible reasons for their prints being on it----it was on the couch and i moved it-----etc..
