Sometimes sad realities do not make sense, and after reading 'bio mom's' post I see no reason to judge her, it sounds to me like she has suffered herself in the past few years, and since we don't actually know the circumstances, it is not for us to judge or question her until more information comes to light, if then IMO.

I'm not sure how much I am allowed to say here about biomoms posts on HM, but I will just state that I will have to respectfully disagree. We speculate and judge on here ... that's kinda what we do... :waitasec: I think taking her version of the story as fact would be naive.

"To me" you captured that glow in that one photo. It really spooked me out.

A long time ago there was a movie (20 years ago maybe) and it was based on an actual murder and in the movie they used luminal and when they turned the light on the whole place glowed. Sent shivers down my spine ... anyway just a movie. However when I saw that photo you took it reminded me of that movie.

O/T

OMG was it Fatal Vision? The movie about the MacDonald murders? That one scene in that movie gave me nightmares for weeks. I immediately thought of it when I looked at that picture.

I was once accused of being a murderer by at least one poster here because I was posting on these boards about a murder in my town where victim's body was found close to my house!

Just so people are aware - law enforcement does watch people who visit. My brother in law is in local LE. When the body was found I drove over there to take pictures a couple times, I have 2 cars that I drive depending on the weather and I used both. My BIL called my wife because I had been seen there on more than one occasion in both cars, and had been an object of discussion downtown - along with a lot of other people.

The actual murderer was caught, convicted based on DNA, and is on death row.

One of the most basic investigation is for officers to observe the crowd watching only because in many cases the actual perp will be in that crowd. If someone looks suspicious they will check them out, which in your case they did. Sorry you had to go through that, but that is a good point for all to know.

Hey Bellyup have you ever looked at your kitchen counter with your blacklight? If not you should try it. It may look clean to the naked eye but with that light you can see all kinds of stuff. I did this in a old house I used to live in and though it looked clean it wasn't.

I think I'll refrain. I can't afford to replace the counter at this time. and it would probably freak me out.......... :snooty: BUT now I'm kinda curious as our house is pretty new. LOL

This article was posted one hour ago.

http://www.ajc.com/news/nation-world/missing-10-year-old-696084.html

So if the report is true we know it was found just a few hours before AB was bonded out. And located close to or at a previous residence in the brush. That means it survived the horrible weather from the night before. Or was that area not hit by the Tornado warning?

I received a email notification from Vine at 5:16 PM EDT on Wednesday that Adam was out on bond. IMO, Adam was released at least a couple of hours before the press conference, as Vine is not an "up to the minute" notification of when an inmate is released, moved etc.

The leg was found on Tuesday and the Sheriff announced they found the leg on Wednesday.

I am unsure as well. The fact that she calls herself THE bio mom and not HER bio mom, when discussing ZH disturbs me. Not sure why.

I read this last night, but I figured all you seasoned WSers were experts on Luminol lol.

I am wondering if, in cases where no body has been recovered, the photos of Luminol reaction at the believed crime scene are ever used as part of the evidence to prove that a death happened (along with any DNA, etc.)? Anybody know about other cases involving Luminol? TIA

Not recalling the actual case, but the short answer is yes, but it comes with caveats.

The biggest problem with not having a body is not being able to prove that a crime occurred.
In this case, we know that it's likely a crime occured whether that is murder or abduction, but a lawyer would bring up the 'what if she wandered of and had an accident' defense and there is reasonable doubt.

So the absence of a body makes the establishing a crime scene more important. If the luminol shows that a large volume of blood was spilled (floor, walls, mattress etc), then a ME could ascertain the likely volume of blood loss and that it would be incompatible with life.

Sometimes the finding of a body only shows unlawful killing because of the location or method of disposal.

Poor baby

don't do it. Lol

I second the don't do it. Also, do not do your work clothes if you are either in the medical profession, an EMT, or prone to injury on your job for some reason. Also, do not do it after trying to capture feral cats, or anything similar. Just sayin. :)

:waitasec: Why not just classify herself as "Zarah's mother" or "Zarah's mum", leave the bio out all together. :banghead:

We're discussing it. Depends on the specifics, if the two probable perps do the right thing and confess if guilty this will be over quickly, if not, well...

I holding onto the hope that this will be over soon... all except for the trials.

That may have been it. I remember that someone stayed in the house after the CSI's left and when they went to bed and turned off the light the whole crime scene GLOWED. As I know now that can't happen hours after the fact it was still very scary.

Same here, it reminded me of that movie.

I figured it wouldn't be long before his family put up the surety, given the low bail amount...

Now that he's out, we can only hope he'll be hit with a sudden attack of conscience and help them find his little girl. While I don't necessarily think he had a direct hand in her death, I DO believe he was complicit in disposing of her body.

I keep thinking she got one of her drug buddies to help dispose of the poor child's body. Still on the fence about AB, I feel it's possible he just didn't realize what EB was capable of.

HA HA! Gotcha! I remember seeing some sort of light they were advertising to take into hotels with you. It would illuminate the "stuff". I thought who in the heck would EVER want to do that.

One question that is on my mind still is: The cops never come right out and state this is a homicide investigation unless they have clear evidence (correct?) I mean look how LE has been very careful in this case to keep things under wrap.

What evidence convinced them shortly after she was reported missing change it from missing to homicide? I use to think it was the ransom note but still that wouldn't be enough to call it a homicide would it? I mean unless EB when arrested was so angry she blurted something out then she shut her mouth.

I don't know, just a big open question to me.

Can someone here explain to me exactly how bail works? Specifically, bail bonds and such?

This is not "exactly" how it works, but what I learned when a family member had to post bail.

Bail is basically a security deposit -- you put up the money, and if you appear at all the hearings and trials and so forth that you're required to, you get your money back.

You can put up cash bail (your own money) or someone else can pay it for you. You can also put up property or other valuables equal to the bail amount.

You can also put up a bail bond, which is basically a loan from somebody who specializes in that thing. You pay a fee, and the bail bond company posts a bond that tells the court that you're good for the money and you will show up. The bond company taking the risk that you won't show up, in which case they'll have to pay the court and they'll come looking for you with a collection agency. For larger amounts, they might require some security, but for smaller amounts they rely on the fee (which can be quite hefty) and volume to cover expenses.

This is just my experience and I might well be wrong on the details. Also, the rules and fees vary from state to state.

My heart goes out to Zahra...poor little one. I haven't posted in a while though I once posted quite a bit...I have been following this case and reading everyone's posts.

What is clear to me is we have another tragedy involving a child. And a tragedy that occurred, IMHO, because the "adults" responsible for the care of Zahra were more concerned about their OWN needs and their OWN wants rather than those of Zahra's...I don't care if her father is the most clueless person on the planet...he clearly put his own needs above those of his child's needs. To the point where she is dead.

The stepmom is horrific. The father is truly not worthy of defending. I don't care. There is nothing to defend...both of these "adults" sicken and horrify me. JMO. Defending either one is like picking the lesser of two truly selfish dimwits.

I guess I stopped posting because it seems like every couple of months we see the same scenario: a child being "cared" for by people who are concerned with themselves ONLY and solely. I would like to take a woodchipper to the stepmother (mother shouldn't even apply in her description), her father, and all of the other countless soulless people (Casey Anthony, Terri Horman, Scott Peterson, Diane Downs...I could go on) responsible for the cruel and tragic circumstances that have befallen their children or children trusting on their care for survival.

It is obvious to me that they continually place the well-being of innocents far below picking up the dry cleaning and I could care less what happens to either the father or the stepmother. They disgust me. Neither one is innocent of this tragedy and I hope it follows both of them to the end of their selfish, self-centered and disgusting lives. JMO.

Poor Zahra. :(
