I'm so confused how is P going to call off media? You should PM her.

I did. And if adnoid is on here, perhaps I could ask an O/T question regarding PM's? why do some bounce back and other not? And other's that you try to respond to, will not accept....but they clearly have the ability to send (and you are not blocked by them?)

As this relates to this case, it sometimes means I try and post something publically when the PM system fails which really should be PM'd. For example, I have been trying to identify the source of Zahra's birth certificate. But am having trouble with the PM system. Frustration ensues.

Can anyone explain? Need a better understanding of how to manage this without appearing to bait in anyway.

Mea culpa if that's what anyone thought I was doing. I was not intending that at all.

wbtv news 3 just said on their news broadcast that AB was bailed out by BS, his mother and brother. Also the police is watching him

per wbtv news 3 12pm broadcast. Its not up on their website yet so I will say its.... JMO

I have a feeling that they need an American citizen to sign the paperowrk, in order to get him out of jail. IMO

At the 1:07 mark in this video http://s296.photobucket.com/albums/...nt=101210nowHomicideElisasFatherSchool001.mp4

Elisa Baker's own Dad mentions Drugs. So maybe he knows something about drug abuse??

Thanks :) I actually hadn't see that video of her father. It's hard to tell what he says .... Sounds like " I'd like to think she wouldn't do anything to that yougun ... shrug .... but ya know drugs ..... do things to people ..... " I wonder if he knows she was using or is just speculating that maybe drugs could lead someone to do something horrible ? ? ? ? Why don't reporters ask these questions ???? :banghead:

My heart goes out to Zahra...poor little one. I haven't posted in a while though I once posted quite a bit...I have been following this case and reading everyone's posts.

What is clear to me is we have another tragedy involving a child. And a tragedy that occurred, IMHO, because the "adults" responsible for the care of Zahra were more concerned about their OWN needs and their OWN wants rather than those of Zahra's...I don't care if her father is the most clueless person on the planet...he clearly put his own needs above those of his child's needs. To the point where she is dead.

The stepmom is horrific. The father is truly not worthy of defending. I don't care. There is nothing to defend...both of these "adults" sicken and horrify me. JMO. Defending either one is like picking the lesser of two truly selfish dimwits.

I guess I stopped posting because it seems like every couple of months we see the same scenario: a child being "cared" for by people who are concerned with themselves ONLY and solely. I would like to take a woodchipper to the stepmother (mother shouldn't even apply in her description), her father, and all of the other countless soulless people (Casey Anthony, Terri Horman, Scott Peterson, Diane Downs...I could go on) responsible for the cruel and tragic circumstances that have befallen their children or children trusting on their care for survival.

It is obvious to me that they continually place the well-being of innocents far below picking up the dry cleaning and I could care less what happens to either the father or the stepmother. They disgust me. Neither one is innocent of this tragedy and I hope it follows both of them to the end of their selfish, self-centered and disgusting lives. JMO.

Poor Zahra. :(

Awww, LittleBitty, I feel the same as you. I didn't post much anyway, but reading story after sad, sad infuriating story got to be too much. Although I do read and try to keep up - always hoping this time it will turn out okay - it never seems to happen. This case is especially horrible, after all that child lived through, she still smiled like an angel. Ethan Stacy was the one that did it for me - but this one may even be worse.
What kind of world do we live in, where people are more concerned with money and their own needs, that little children have to die for it?

any news? Any presser scheduled? Locals hear anything?

Nothing yet. My husband and I are going to get some lunch and then we will drive by. If something seems to be going on we will park and walk up to update you guys as we can. We will have our munchkin with us so it is depending on weather right now (the sun is shining YAY). I have an awesome jogging stroller and he loves being outside!

:woohoo:

wrong thread sorry

It meant nothing more than the media has been a pain... So maybe the locals could put a little pressure on them to be more accurate. :)

Oh, I don't know. The media in this case has been way more responsible and accurate (and less prone to rumor) than in other cases I've read about recently. Not saying they're perfect, but it seems like at least they're still trying to stay in the ballpark of rational...

Wasn't there something about drug paraphenalia listed on a search warrant?

IIRC someone said there was also a 'green leafy substance' found. That put in my mind that it was marijuana and a pipe/bong/papers for smoking it. There could of course be more than one type of paraphernalia found!

Re: the mysterious object(s) pulled up from the ground in the back yard as seen in the photographs....I think it could be:

a) Clothing - Zahra's or EB's
b) A handtowel or other fabric used to clean up evidence from the walls/floors
c) The bandage from Zahra's prosthesis
d) Hair from a drain pipe
e) Didn't they have cats?

ETA: Sorry, I'm about 20 pages behind on this thread.

TY I hadn't thought of it that way. Yep, I have the utmost respect for Val as well. Still I am undecided myself.

I don't know VAL but see many here that I respect that believe she is correct. I don't think I am doubting it is her ever. I am more doubting the story behind why she isn't in Zahra's life. What makes me so skeptical is if that were really the story .... she'd have no problem speaking with MSM on the matter even if only via a written release.

It wasn't a green leady substance. It was some sort of vegetable matter IIRC.

Thank you....my power just went out and it isn't raining nor is the wind blowing. Got your storms here last night but not bad. Stay safe and will be watching for your posted updates throughout the day and evening. Look to see if any new heavy equipment shows up because I'm thinking they are about to dig the entire back yard up. MOO

But the man never even opened the door to her room to look inside to see if she was ok! Never walked in to kiss her on the forehead to say good night!
Im sorry that is sad very very sad. this little girl did not stand a chance!
JMO

That is true I don't think that is the way to treat your child either I just don't think he killed her and I am still on the fence as to what his involvement was after the fact I suppose we will soon find out the whole thing is so unfair this child went through more in her life than should be humanly possible to endure and yet miraculously she did and from all reports with a big beautiful smile and concern for others. I agree with a poster who posted a few threads ago that Zahra was an Angel sent to earth .
rest in peace sweet angel Zahra

Before I came to WS I had never heard of the Hinky Meter and it was only much later (CA case) that I found the link here at WS soooo I wonder how she got ahold of that site? Why post there? Why not post here? I have so many questions about that and ~0~ answers.

Thank you for posting this... I read through MANY comments to find hers, and her story is heartbreaking. She posts alot on this thread: http://www.thehinkymeter.com/2010/10/27/zahra-baker-case-why-is-the-mattress-important/#comments

To summarize BioMum's story (not sure if this has been done before?), she and AB separated when Z was a baby. She experienced post-partum depression and was unable to care for Z. They agreed that he would look after her until mum was back on her feet. For a couple of years she would see Z but then one day the apartment was empty when she arrived. She spent all she could trying to track them down but b/c of privacy laws had trouble doing so (no crime had been committed). It wasn't until a friend told her in 2007 about the cancer that she knew Z was sick. She still couldn't track them down. She finally saw an online article about the cancer camp but that didn't help her locate Z. She kept searching but never even thought that they had left the country... until the latest news. She is ready to come to the US, but LE has encouraged her to stay put for now.

Hope it's okay that I posted her story - and I hope it's really her....

Thought the same thing...how did I find this site, it was one of the first to show up on a google search of Zahra Baker...I never saw hinky and didn't know what that was!
