I don't know VAL but see many here that I respect that believe she is correct. I don't think I am doubting it is her ever. I am more doubting the story behind why she isn't in Zahra's life. What makes me so skeptical is if that were really the story .... she'd have no problem speaking with MSM on the matter even if only via a written release.

No disrespect intended, but why would she want to bring the press to her door? She has (per her post) 2 school age children under 10 years old - I read her first post and was skeptical but not ready to say it wasn't who she claimed - I see her posts on Hinky as a need to connect to this, not just read as a bystander - but some of the posts against her were pretty harsh so she stood up for herself in order to be heard and believed.

MSM would want proof (that Val says she has seen) then would want a picture to go with the story - which would bring strangers to her door and attention to her children that she no doubt does not want.

She must be wracked with guilt for unintentionally failing her daughter, anger at AB for the loss and if I were her I would be pretty pizzed off at the state for not going after AB for kidnapping her daughter and for allowing him to take her out of the country w/o her permission!

When she's ready, I'm sure she will do what she has to do - in the mean time her kids need her and she has a lot to process and come to grips with. I wish her nothing but whatever peace she can find under the circumstances - if what she has posted is the truth or not.

The white bag doesn't look dirty enough to have been buried. Maybe just a discarded WalMart bag that is folded in an odd shape???

To clarify, it was left unattended so it is not Zahra. It most likely is a dog that was buried. To me the left end looks to be partially decomposed, almost can see the skeletal part. Think of a dog laying down, see the back end much bigger? The left end I see the outline of a possible skeletal dog remains.

The reason left alone? They called the previous owner, and had him confirm where they buried the dog, or called AB or EB, or other family member to verify where a dog was buried. This is why they left it off to the side.

ITA, no way would they have left that laying there unattended if it were Z's body or any type of evidence in the case.

They searched diligently around the house, starting first on the side closest to the neighborhood, initially using rakes on an area about 10 by 10 feet. They then abandoned the rakes and brought in a backhoe. It was moved to the other side of the house, near Clark Tire, and moved dirt between the tree line and the house. The search then moved to the back of the house. The investigators seemed to focus on areas covered with mulch, rather than dirt. The holes they dug didn’t go much deeper than 12-18 inches.

Holes being only 12-18 inches they are looking for evidence rather than a body. JMO
That is not deep at all.

This says "Police said just two hours earlier Wednesday, the investigation brought them to a home along Christie Road in Caldwell County, where they found the prosthetic leg, "

"A home? I thought they said it was in the brush and according to the videos there were not many homes around there?

snipped:

On Tuesday afternoon, authorities released two key pieces of information in the Zahra Baker case: confirmation that the missing girl's stepmother started cooperating with police on Sunday...

Assuming this is accurate reporting (snort) let's compare this to the timeline of the AB arrest and other factors? :) IMHO might be interesting.

I saw that too, and my first thought, was a dog or pet that was once buried. They probably didn't open it, and called previous owner to confirm where it was buried.

If they found it, oh I'd bet they opened it.

Is there anything to reference the size of the white item? I can't tell if it is a foot long or 6 feet long.

Here is another screen cap of it from a distance

Members can turn off PMs if they wish, in which case you will be unable to send them a PM.

New members cannot receive PMs from other members until they make a few posts.

A member's PM inbox may be full, which would keep them from getting additional PMs until they deal with it.

I'm not sure what sort of case discussion you are thinking of that cannot be posted on the thread - this is a discussion board, after all.

Thank you for the explanation. It must be members who have not made enough posts I guess.

As for discussion, I understand I can post pretty much anything. However, my responsibilities to my job prohibit certain topics discussed publically, by me. So it isn't a board-related issue, it's just me. PM's are a way to cirumvent that at times until there is enough information to publically discuss.

So for example and this is only an example- lets say i work for DSS (I don't) and I have information on Zahra's DSS case. (I don't) My job responsibilities would prevent me from disclosing that info in a public forum, because then I'd get fired. But it might be useful to PM other member who might have the same info, but are not bound by their line of work to remain confidential.
Does that help explain? Sorry- not trying to be confusing.

The left end has a "curvature" to it - kinda like a bathtub. Have no clue what this is or why is "wrapped".

What happened to the dog they had? AB said in the 911 call that "the dog" woke him up barking. IIRC it was siad to be a pit bull. I guess someone has taken it somewhere else to care for - or maybe it just went to the pound.

maybe the dog got murdered also, barking?, growling? howling for Zahra???
Wonder if it has been gone very long???

It looks (to me) like a larger white trash can liner (trash bag) because of how large it is when the helicopter pans out and I agree it doesn't look dirty enough to have been buried.

AFAIK Body Bags are black or charcoal colored.

My ex phoned my kids school up and said the same thing one day. I had a Family Court order with specific terms on it for our custody arrangement and it was sealed by the court, but my ex said I had forged it. Pretty easy thing to say.

I have full care of my 2 kids and their mother has nothing to do with them at all. If I left the country I could take my kids but if the court order said that she was to see them so often, I would be in breach of the order if I failed to make them available.

If biomum is the real deal, she should have filed for breach of orders years ago, even back when Z was in the news in Townsville with the Soldiers and Camp Quality.

It's probably a fake biomum and if it's not fake, she's no real mother to Z as she has never been in her life. AB didn't steal Z from biomum.

I believe it was actually a document in order to obtain Zahra's passport she claims was forged. Generally if you do not have both parents signatures there is a separate form that must be filled out and submitted with the passport application.

As for removing minor children from the country it is completely reliant on State statutes even if you have sole legal and physical custody. If a custodial order does not specifically spell out removal guidelines many states have legislation in place that does to guard against parental abduction. The state I am from I had to give written notice to the NCP (non custodial parent) 90 days prior to relocating. He had the right of refusal - did refuse - and from that point the court and a GAL were enlisted to make the decision.

Even if AB had sole legal and physical that does not mean he had the right or legal authority to remove Zahra without a new court order specifically giving him permission to do so. JMHO
