If LE are unable to find anyone that has seen Zahra in a month, do you think that whatever happened to her may have happened long before she was first reported missing? Maybe she met some harm weeks ago, and that the plan to "deal" with whatever was done to her was only just set in motion?

I think she has been gone for weeks personally.
Her biomom supposedly found out where she was a week ago.
And her birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks which may have motivated this plan to report her missing.

And this was planned. Poorly, but planned. Ransom notes, fires, gas soaked SUVs. This didn't happen in the two hour plus window that has been provided (230 sighting, 520 fire, 1400 missing).

And with all that activitiy, no one checked on her. Not the internet wife, and not bio dad.

2007 ish Australia/US: Adam and Elesa meet online

July 2008 (?): they marry and Adam comes to the US with Elesa

2008-2010: the couple lives in numerous places around the area and Zahra attends
Caldwell county schools. Neighbors and family describe frequent abuse

May 2010: hearing resource teacher from zahra's school tells her family about the
hearing aid giveaway and she receives bilateral hearing aides at the
the Charlotte Motor Speedway on 11 May 2010

August 2010: family member states that adam tried to run her off the road with a car
and also states that Elesa threated to kill her and her family while aiming
a tazer at her

mid august/early september: Zahra is not enrolled in new school when family moves
to new house in hickory. None of the new neighbors
have reported ever seeing the child

thursday 7 October: dad says he last sees Zahra when he gets home from work

friday 8 october: Elesa calls family member and asks her to drop the charges. Family
member says this is the first that she has heard that the family had
even moved to a new house

friday 8 october: father states zahra was in bed when he left for work and in bed when
he got home from work

saturday 9 october: 0500ish am there is a brush fire reported on a mulch pile behind
the house. LE called by FD at 0520 because they found gas
poured inside one of the vehicles and a ransom note. Adam's boss
and daughter are named in the note. They are checked on and
ok. LE/FD leave around 0640. Zahra is never checked on.

saturday 9 october: Adam says he goes to a job and doesn't see Zahra. He returns
home around 1300 and works in the yard. His wife runs out of the
house screaming that Zahra is gone. LE is called at 1400.

sunday 10 october: Elesa is arrested on unrelated charges with a bond of 31,500.
She is a POI in Zahra's case.

Monday 11 October: there is a press briefing. LE is trying to establish a timeline for
when Zahra was last seen by anyone other than the family.
Later in the day the SW is released that states there was evidence
of human remains in both vehicles and possible blood in one.
The ransom note is also released. Elesa is interviewed in jail by
LE that night.

Tuesday 12 October: at a presser LE says that this is now a homicide investigation and
the amber alert has been cancelled. Elesa has now been served
with a felony warrant for obstruction of justice and has admitted
to penning the ransom note. She asked for a lawyer after that
admission. LE continues to ask public help for anyone who has
seen Elesa in the past month and asks for anyone who knows
anything about an inspection at the house or an inspection that
was scheduled at the house to come forward. Le says that info
to the public will now be limited due to the fact that it is a
homicide investigation

Uh, sorry, but Zahra's mother is lying. What sort of "searching" in the internet age doesn't turn up a child who's been the subject of mainstream media articles detailing her battles with cancer?

More info from an Australian news source on her short life:

She was uprooted from Australia two years ago, a little girl who has endured the tragedy and hardship of cancer but always kept smiling.

Zahra is hearing impaired and also wears a prosthetic leg, after having her lower left leg amputated at the age of five due to bone cancer.

Later, she suffered a secondary bout of lung cancer but that went into remission.

After being born in Wagga Wagga and spending her early life in Newcastle, Zahra and her family moved to Townsville where Zahra, described by her grandmother Karen Baker as handling "everything with a smile", attended a Camp Quality weekend for sick children.

The family had only recently moved to the small town of Hickory, northeast of North Carolina's largest city Charlotte - where the FBI and US Marshals Service have now joined local police in the search for Zahra.

They were I took the photos of the wrong trailer out but left the woods surrounding the trailer park in. The trailer was only one street behind the trailer I took pictures of.

Also, I wanted to say there were NO other cars in the neighborhood taking pictures. I was the only one there.

I'm so sorry, I knew you would be upset when you got back-

Yes supposedly being homeschooled.
This was her first year not being in public school from what I have gathered.
Moved 6-8 weeks ago. Bentley relative that had a run in with biodad and wife says she never sees Zahra again, didn't know they had moved.

Never enrolled in school, became homeschooled.
That is my understanding anyway.

Channel 9 has learned Elisa Baker called attorney Scott Riley after being interviewed by police. "I spoke to her at 3 a.m. this morning. I went to see her at 7:30 a.m. this morning. She still hadn't had any sleep. She's very emotional, very upset,&#8221; Riley said.
Riley told Channel 9 that Baker claims she had no involvement in Zahra's disappearance, but police say outside immediate family no one has seen the 10-year-old for a month.

Respectfully, I appreciate your adding this message to the forum, however technically this is a police matter. If non residents are trespassing on a private road and or private property, and the residents of this particular home and road are unhappy with the traffic and attention they need to contact their local police.
The police can then handle the situation themselves by either monitoring traffic and/or make trespassing arrests as applicable.

Also, and with all due respect, the neighborhood has curbside trash pickup so it can't possibly be a private drive/neighborhood. In fact, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals even ruled that driveways aren't private. I certainly understand concern if people are looking in windows. If that's the case, call the police, like Cubby and others have said. I know many Granite Falls police officers and I'm sure they would be more than happy to help. GL.

Maybe she doesn't have easy access to a computer and doesn't have money to hire, say, a private investigator. Maybe she hired a private investigator who was really bad. Maybe she is lying. Who knows? At this point, IMHO, there's just not enough info out about bio mom to speculate.

We talked about this at dinner last night- absolutely someone would check on the kid/kids.
But honestly if my husband was dealing with a fire and investigators he wouldn't run in and check he would expect and trust me to do it.
So I can see Adam believing that EB checked on Zahra.
That early in the morning my kids would sleep through an earthquake- so Zahra not trying to see what was going on in the yard at o/dark thirty isn't odd to me at all---- had it been the middle of the day whole different thing- of course then I would expect kids to be biting at the bit to see what was going on.

I was thinking this too. I would not need to check on my ten year old daughter. I would have to restrain her from getting underfoot as there is no way that sort of excitement would escaper her notice.
