As much time as they are spending at the home, I think we have the crime scene.

HLN reports positive ID on prosthetic leg.

I don't know if we have teh crime scene but boy it sures would seem that LE thinks so, good enough for me.

Breaking News: FoX News reported prosthetic leg does belong to Zahra

  • #450
We all pretty much knew the leg was Zahra's but to have it confirmed is still like a punch in the stomach. Means homicide is all the more likely IMO. Also means EB has some splaining to do. Search where she is "cooperating" and along for the ride is one that yielded prosthetic confirmed to be Z's?

That coupled with ransom confession. I think we may be headed to GJ folks. again moo.

nvestigators are continuing to search the Bakers' Hickory home for "additional evidence," police said in a release. They did not specify what that evidence is.

Slide number 17 shows the tarp lying in the yard that they folded up and put into evidence. It almost looks like a sheet or shower curtain??

this is the one that I took photos of them folding it up and putting into an evidence bag.

There sure is a ton of mulch in that yard. No wonder everyone is concerned about the chipper. I would think it would overwhelm a dog as he wouldn't really know exactly where to alert.

Confirming the finding of the poor child's prosthetic leg is almost as bad, and depressing, as finding her body.

Poor Zahra. :( :( :(

Didn't some media say something about "parts" of the leg and we speculated that maybe it wasn't in one piece? Maybe if that's the case, some of the pieces were found in the mulch and that is what LE has or are looking for.

The fact that her leg was found near Elisa's old house = total guilt to me. (Aside from other circumstantial evidence), however, I guess they need much more for it to fly in a court of law.

By the continuous searching at the (current) Baker home, sounds to me like they are finding way more evidence. (G-d willing).

:praying:

I am at a loss as to how they were able to get EB to confess to the ransom note, but nothing else. She confesses to that and shuts up? Why even admit to that? I just don't get how they can get her to own up to the fake ransom note, but nothing else.

It was a representative from the Sheriff's office on *IIRC* the day they found the leg/the day before they announced they had found it. He said during a brief presser that they were looking for "parts of evidence" and some of us at the time thought it was an odd phrasing. This would have been last Tuesday, again IIRC...

Well dont you think paperwork need be done? Assignments handed in to the school board, updates on child progress etc i dont feel a parent can just take a child out of school and not be held accountable to someone like the school board or dept of education for said childs progress... well i think homeschoolers are out of the public eye no one to see the bruises or the black eyes im not saying it happens alot but i think its worth looking into.
JMO

I made home visits and even accompanied social workers to homes to proctor end of grade testing for home schooled students when I worked in the school system. Of course, the parents were notified in advance of the testing dates, so there was time to stop any abuse and allow for healing before the actual event.

I worked with Behaviorally/Emotionally disturbed children so they received special services due to their diagnosis. We would make an unannounced home visit during every nine weeks grading period....but all school systems in NC are not alike and I don't know the criteria for other counties.

anyway, by the time this I finish this post, a new thread will have started and this topic will be 'old'. LOL!

MOO

IMO that's because as soon as she confessed to writing the ransom note she requested a lawyer

Wasn't that BEFORE Dubs was retained as her attorney?
