To toss another debatable issue into the mix.

The power bill was found in the work truck which Adam drove which seems to say he was the person who payed the power bill, was he the person in control of the money? The one who made all the calls on what got paid and what did not? I dont see EB handing over her money to him but why did he have the bill? Did she not have complete control?

Duke Power, Hmm, is all of Hickory Duke Power?

I don't remember any discussion about this: If her father knew what happened to Zahra, why wouldn't he & his wife simply say she had returned to Australia? That would have explained her absence to the school, family services & EB's relatives. It is unlikely that any of the family & friends in North Carolina are in contact with Zahra's people in Australia. Instead of allowing her disappearance to be uneventful, the fire, ransom note & 911 report put the spotlight on AB & EB. I do not like thinking anyone could be so dense, but it gives me a wee bit of hope that her dad may not have been complicit & he was being honest about learning his marriage had been a lie.

Well...there is the bit about bio mom having found them what? The week before?

With all due respect folks, I don't think we know the Duke Power envelope (ransom note) had anything at all to do with a bill.

The only description I've seen anywhere in the media is "Duke Energy envelope" or "Duke Power envelope".

Is it possible that an energy company might mail out anything other than a bill? Marketing materials? Conservation campaign brochures? Does the company dabble in other services besides residential power?

The "different culture" thing is a real surprise to me. I am American but have a bunch of Aussie friends and acquaintances. While they are some of the nicest people I've ever met (I lurv them) I have never noticed them to be more laid back or culturally that much different. Most of them are more energetic and outgoing then I am. This of course could just be the people I know and not the norm I suppose.

Cops: Prosthetic Leg Found in NC Belongs to Girl
Serial Number on Artificial Left Leg Matches Medical Records of Zahra Baker, Who Has Been Missing for Weeks

The Hickory Police Department said the artificial left leg belonged to Zahra Baker, who lost her own leg to bone cancer. Police said the serial number on the leg recovered last Wednesday matched medical records that detectives collected from the girl's native Australia.

Police said a scanner was used to pull the serial number from a transponder inside the leg. Authorities released no other details, saying only that investigators continue to search the family's home in Hickory for additional evidence.

Well, one thing that's clear..in my mind at least..is that if my daughter was missing and I had nothing to do with it ..prior, during or after..then NOBOBY and I mean nobody would be able to keep me from shouting from the rooftops..begging and pleading with someone to bring her home..or tell what they know...LE wouldn't even be able to shut me up..they would have to lock me up to shut me up and I would STILL find a way...jmo..fwiw..

So..where is Adam and is he doing anything to try and find Zahra?..any little thing at all?....

Speculation Alert

The RN to me had a tone in it that seemed to point toward a disagreement with Mr. Coffey. In addition a reason for Z to have gone missing.

I mean why the part about control and who's in control now. Really, what a give away. duh

Second, I doubt Duke power would switch the electric bill into the Bakers name without a large down payment.

I'm thinking the house would rent for $700 a month plus utilities to the general public.

So AB was supposedly making $600 a month, I imagine EB thought the rent included utilities. Possibly why the RN was written on the electric bill envelope. I'm speculating Coffee got mailed the bill and gave it to AB to pay.

I'm almost surprised the RN wasn't written on a personal check.

The hows whys and wheres are different IMO than far off claims from the same posters over and over that seem nothing more than an attempt to "shock and awe" and have no basis in the facts / truth ..//////IMO. If some of the things had any basis in reality I'd get it (ie; I understand the pieces and parts being talked about by LE leading to suspicion that the woodchipper may have come into play)..... but when it's way off in left field what's the point other than to shock the reader ? It isn't going to HELP find Zahra or bring the perps to justice. Which is what I thought WS was more about...:waitasec:

BBM:
We will have to agree to disagree here, bellyup. Just how many cases do you see where LE has to literally tear a house apart to attempt to exclude it as having been a brutal murder scene? Some shock and awe might come from seeing the dismantling of the house. IMO, no one, not even the posters here are enjoying thinking the worst, and no one is attempting to shock anyone. In fact, there was the footage in the beginning of the woodchipper and the reports of dogs having hit on the engine. That was shock that the woodchipper may have been involved.

IDK if this is the first case you have followed here, but many of the cases are shocking and sickening. Discussing the possibilities of what has happened to a child or adult is one of the things that is done here.

Some people prefer 'just the facts', and the media thread is just that - facts. Meanwhile, I still have my thoughts and theories as to what may have happened. I certainly could be wrong. None of us know what happened to Zahra. The good thing about WS is that anyone may post his/her thoughts/theories as long as it is within TOS.

IF we happen to get a forum, the theory thread may be one you would want to avoid because there will be many shocking theories. Just sayin'.

Thank you for the reply. Is it confirmed that Zahra's mother had located them in NC?

I dont believe anyone here is tryng to shock the reader. I think this case is going to be shocking and people maybe getting themselves ready for it. I personaly passed on a reality that is very gore filled because I didnt want to upset anyone. I know I am not the only one. And yes it could lead to Zahra because people might not know what they are looking at unless it is explained to them what it may look like.

I removed my post because I don't think I'm saying what I wanted to say clearly. It's not the details and the possible scenerios that are bothering me ... it's when things are presented as fact when all they seem to be are gory theories stated as fact. (no indication of it being opinion or speculation) When that's done ... it quickly becomes rumor that turns into what others believe as fact (and that messes with getting any closer to finding Zahra and the people responsible IMO)

I will leave it at that and get some sleep.

I hope LE has all the cards in their hand to convict the RIGHT person(s).

Let's tone down the posts in here please. This has been a really good group and I don't like to see what's being posted tonight.

If you haven't read the rules lately, please take the time to check out Kat's post.

Take some deep breaths and remember everyone here is on the same page - we want justice for Zahra!

Sorry, Kimster! I was typing my last post as you posted this. I do hope my last post is not out of line.

Okay I been looking for Zahra video when she got her hearing aids.
http://www.wsoctv.com/video/25597830/index.html
@1:23 Zahra
Zahra said she can hear more withour her hearing aid! that statement has always bother me. Did she need hearing aids?

I not sure where I going with that ??? but it bother me:banghead:

I'm only on post 108, so someone else has probably replied to this.

She said: " I can actually hear more, than without my hearing aids. "

She could hear better with them.

I think most ideas about what happened to Zahra come from what we have witnessed from the parents and LE.

The mom wrote a bogus ransom note...someone soaked the vehicles in gasoline....the dad's 911 call sounded like he was calling in a take-out order.....the dogs hit on the wood chipper and cars....and prosthesis was found on the side of the road....the mom's adult kids are apparently horrified and fearful of her....LE has been digging with large machinery and tearing the house apart bit by bit....Zahra is no where to be found and LE has already told the world this is a homicide investigation.

So to speculate about some horrible scenarios is very acceptable. Its also very sad but lets face it, if you are a sleuther there is a part of you that becomes removed from the emotions and you just go with facts, instincts, and basic curiosity of any good "detective." Cops care very much....they also roll with it, otherwise they couldn't do what they do best.

Stepmom and Dad are guilty, guilty, guilty......now, what did they do with Zahra?!

Well, it's hard to say it's confirmed. It has been mentioned in several places, I know that it came out not to long after she went missing and I want to say there is a msm link to it, but I'm fried tonight, I will see if I can find it tomorrow. :blushing:

I get the obstruction charge. What I'm not getting is why she was charged with falsely reporting Zahra missing. She never did that, not that I'm aware anyway.

I'm thinking that when LE got there to take a statement, she was asked about it and confirmed that Z was abducted.

I wonder if perhaps the police have told AB everything they know and what they are doing, and perhaps there is nothing he can do. They may have asked him to lay low, maybe they don't want the distraction of him running around crazy in the town. He could be grieving with his mother and family right now, we don't know. Someone had posted earlier about him not cooperating with LE, but I thought the article said they hadn't talked to him,, not that he wasn't cooperating, they just hadn't contacted him. It doesn't sound like he's hiding or anything...I really think that if he was involved they would have him still sitting in jail, they can find something to charge him with, but they haven't. I just don't think we have enough solid facts to say for sure he was involved, yeah alot of stuff bugs people,, the 911 call, but that doesn't mean he did anything, I'm trying to think of what else he has done that would mean he was guilty. yes, perhaps he worked to much and wasn't involved enough with her life, but thats pretty normal in these rough times...but it does not make a person guilty, I have no doubt that he loved his daughter and regrets alot of things...JMO

No one lost her , she was hidden. She is still being concealed. Not by the community or the town or the state but by someone who should have loved her and tucked her in at night and bought her a damn bike.

Thank you. I read a comment posted by someone on a newspaper blog that read "What kind of hillbillies are these people in Hickory?" Really, condemn a town of 90,000 because of two people?
