Gein went on to say the police know about the letters.
"They said that they have copies of all the letters that are coming and outgoing and that they know they're legit letters," she said. "So they don't doubt it and neither do we."
Police told WBTV it's possible the letters are real, but that they don't have them.

I know this to be a fact because anyone who is incarcerated can easily be sent mail by anybody. In NCDOC for instance you can search any inmate and find out what prison they are located in and then send mail to that inmate at the prison address with their inmate locator number and the mail will make it to them. I also am very well aware of the fact that ALL mail is reviewed and censored if necessary with any regular inmate much less a high profile case. Trust me, they are aware of EVERYTHING that goes in and out.
