I'll be back a bit later, I want to go and physically watch NG coverage instead of here.

Prayers for Zahra.

John Miller, H Daily Record:
search goin on into t night
canines hit on t wood chipper (home)
and t same at a wood chipper where they are searching tonight (A's job)

I'm sure special forensics could differentiate metal particles from wood elements. moo
Me too. I was answering the posters question as to whether the chipper would allow the artificial limb to go through.

WS Mods- If you haven't already done so (I can do it for you, if you want..) it may be a good idea to type up all the common abbrievations people on this site use and sticky it at the top of the forums so that new members aren't completely confused with the "lingo" around here.

Let me know if you want me to do it for you. :)

Here's the list. :)

Are they still out searching? I'm pretty sure it's dark out in NC now, so I wasn't sure.
Sunset was an hour ago. They're still there though. Vehicles there with floodlights according to reporter on NG's show.

Supposing ... just supposing Zahra is not found at the current search site in Burke County are there any other areas that need to be searched. There was one picture of a Pier in the MySpace that was interesting. Wondering if anybody can place if this picture could have been taken near Hickory or would this have been a picture from Austraila?

From what I've read, seen, they did report it. Several times.

And I don't doubt this one bit Kimberlyd125 based upon my own personal experience, still ongoing, within my own family. It's a crying shame - it really is.

Ok - maybe we all need a minute to just breathe. Here's a thought that might help us all. While I was eating I had a picture come to my mind -

I see a beautiful green field full of wild flowers with Caylee, Hayleigh, Sandra, Kyron, Neveah, Shaniya, Zahra, Somer and a host of others - all running, and laughing and playing under the bright blue sky with their furbabies all around them. I may try to create this picture in the next few days.

They are happy, at peace, with no pain and lots of love and friends around them.

It made me feel better. God bless their little souls.

That is, and would be a beautiful picture!

OMG - They hit on a woodchipper at the home and a woodchipper at the work site????

There has to be a reason those dogs are alerting.

I was curious about whether or not a prosthetic would survive a wood chipper, given that (and I'm assuming) titanium is the core metal.

Found this.

http://www.extension.umn.edu/distribution/naturalresources/dd3949.html

Quote from article

"Because these chippers are sharp enough and tough enough to chip wood they have the potential to destroy human fingers, hands, arms, etc. They can also propel solid materials at high speeds. Most are noisy enough to cause loss of hearing, if used for long periods without hearing protection. These machines are very powerful and have the potential to cause personal injury and in extreme cases death, if safety precautions are not followed."

So they may be searching for what's left of the prosthetic. If they aren't, they should be. It can't have been flung terribly far.

This is so gruesome and I can't believe I'm thinking this way.
Correct. And this article is in regard to the small units that people can rent. The industrial units that can cost upwards of $50,000 can do a whole lot more damage than these little ones. They are wicked.

Been following this closely. You guys rock and are so fast! Just reading up and omg a woodchipper? My heart is sinking. She has one of the cutest faces ever and I can only imagine the horror she went through. RIP sweet Zahra. So many have grown to love you so quickly.

So, the dogs hit on both cars, a woodchipper at the home, the woodchipper at the work site, and a mulch pile at the worksite???

  • #235
Mentioned heavy equipment coming in to the location as well as flood lights on NG. Do you suppose ME is there?

I'd think so. But that's JMO

That's the way I'm understanding it too.

Wow. That's a BIG crime scene for police to process then (considering there's multiple ones).

I will sign off I guess- but that was not my point at all.
My point was, please be as sensitive as possible to the fact that none of us have confirmation of what when down here yet and as a result- we should be sensitive to all possibilities, because sensitivity seems to never hurt.

We all understand, and no one wants you to sign off (though I think we have all had that one topic we had to step away from, mine involved a child that ODed on grandma's drugs and a heated debate who was responsible). If this is one that is too gory an graphic for you everyone respects that.

I think what is trying to be said is everyone is trying to be sensitive and you can only so gently say that cadaver dogs have hit on a wood chipper operated by the father of a missing a presumed dead girl.

Every horrible scenario involving Caylee and what that looked was discussed in graphic detail. It is the nature of the beast.

((((hugs to you))))

And will make it all the more dificult to find anything IMO.

If this was done at a couple locations.
Then, there is fire involved. No telling what else or where else evidence could have been destroyed by fire or other means.

This is too much.
