I have a question I hope someone can answer. If only the prostetic was sent through one of the chippers would the dogs still hit?

I would think probably if it had been in contact with a deceased Zahra :(

Well yeah, it isn't as if it's going to disintergrate. There will be pieces of whatever goes through. The only thing that won't leave residue would be air I reckon'.

True. I'm just hoping, I guess, that there's a sizable chunk of metal that could easily be linked.

Although given that probably even titanium wouldn't survive well, the chances are that hers was made of carbon or composite as they are far less expensive. I can only imagine how a softer metal like carbon would fare.

Logically I know there's probably ample viable evidence on the machinery, in and on the ground...I'm just hoping there's no way to wriggle out of this for the monster(s) that did this to that little girl.

Shaniya's case was the 2nd case I had to walk away from... toooo intense for me. Oh, Oriah. I had no idea. How wonderful.... :)

Yeah, I had to take a break from it too. It was Somer in Oct. 2009 then Shaniya in Nov. 2009.
I had to take a break because I was about to lose my mind.

But, when I came back, I had to go back over EVERYTHING I missed.

I think I did more harm to myself than good.

It can get to you. I've learned when I need to step away and take a break. But it took me a long time to learn that.

Prayers and hugs to all WS'ers here. We are here because our hearts are in the right place. We care so much for the victims. It is just so hard to handle sometimes.

disabled children at higher risk for abuse because of frustration level of parents - so says panelists.

This is true.

Also because depending on the disability, they may be less able to tell on the abuser and may be less credible if they do tell. That is why it is rare for abuse cases with a disabled child to be prosecuted.

I don't think so unless there was decomp on it. Also I don't believe metal pieces in the prosthesis would make it through the woodchipper. MOO

I would imagine it would..but there would have to be blood on it I'm pretty sure (since that's what the dogs had hit on).

I'm hoping the rain will stay east of the area they're searching for a while. Maybe they will put up tents. I hope so.

BrittanyB: let her out 5 mins to eat, and then go back; beatings and saw black eye

NG: is it true when time to go home from visiting, would run to back of house when time to go home?
BB: yes, she would scream and slammed doors

One thing that has me seething. I REFUSE TO USE OUR HARD EARNED TAXPAYER DOLLARS TO FEED, CLOTHES AND HOUSE THESE 2 ..........things......

Nope, I want them gone. I've had enough. People that commit these horrible crimes against our children don't deserve my money.

When there is no doubt about guilt - justice should be swift. Why should we have to continue to pay?

They called family services. They tried.

NG: at least BB called family services
NG: what bout teachers? isn't it law to report it?
Guest: yes.
NG: i think father sat by and let happen, or a part of it

Sorry about the OT folks... I was just working all day and reading along with you and now that I'm off work I just felt the need to give my fellow WS'ers a virtual hug and muah. I about had a panic attack when woodchipper was hit by the dogs.

Okay, back on... lol

NG is saying she thinks the father is just as culpable as mom.

I think its misting but that's not a bad thing. Hopefully no major rain- can't really see that happening.
