2 ponds drained today....searchers find bone, requested Chopper 9 to leave the area and back up all news trucks. Do not know exact area they found the bone.

OK we are rolling now. I think this is it. I can't see them doing this for picking up one bone and not really being sure if it's human or not. IMO They know it's a human bone and they expect to find more.

Again hats of to LE for not giving up.

This area is where we have seen it reported in MSN and on video interview with a neighbor that there was a foul smell coming from the area.(?)

Whyaduck, you said it best, there is a possibility of scattered remains and "a" bone alone because of the scattering (paraphrasing, I got your gist though )

My gut is telling me she's there. They just have to find her, which I trust they will.

I'll elaborate later. But I really really hope my gut is not leading my head astray right now. JMHO

Sounds like they are expecting the line search to come up with a body.

And let us hope so. As awful as it is when a child's remains are found, it is so much worse when they are never found.

Okay sorry trying to make sure I have this sorted out in my mind.

The bone that could possibly be human was found while searching out near that pond?

If that is correct, then where is that pond in relation to the christie road area where her pros. leg was located? Just give me an Idea no need to hunt down map.

If that is correct, are they still searching the area widely? (As in from where leg was found onwards and outwards or is the search focused only on the pond area?)

I thought this was interesting:

On Wednesday morning, about 2 dozen people were searching off Christie Road in Caldwell County looking for anything related Zahra Baker, whose stepmother, Elisa, is still being held in jail. Near noon on Wednesday, crews with a pump arrived and began draining a pond in that area.

The search comes just hours after WBTV came into possession of some letters that were allegedly written by Elisa Baker. The letters were allegedly written to someone at a web site that began a letter-writing relationship with Baker since she has been in jail.

It is possible she was/is buried, and animal activity unearthed that one bone - this might be the reason for the careful line search - it would also make it very urgent for the chopper to go away. MOO.

Sorry to sound gruesome but I get the feeling Zahras body will be found in many locations. And agree arrest AB on something!! False report, obstruction, arson? He needs to be in custody IMO.

I think that from the statements LE is giving, they are feeling confident that this bone is a piece of Zahra. They must have been through many animal bones from the descriptions of deer carcus etc. being dumped there. Hoping beyond hope that this is a crucial find that will help clarify some of what happened, and when it happened. My biggest fear is her never being found. God Bless LE for all their unrelenting hard work in this case, they are working for Zahra to bring her home and bring justice to those responsible.

My thoughts too.

Possible shallow grave. That was located outside of parameters of prior searches (kind of like mattress was), shallow enough to allow scavanger activity. Just speculating. JMHO
