Anyone know how long a test on the bone could take? Not only to determine human vs. animal but to determine if it belongs to Zahra?

I'm pretty sure they know if it's a human bone or not. That would be fairly easy to confirm. They just need to confirm if it is Zahra's.

No. I really want to, but I'm just not sure we can yet. I'm not going to discuss it, because I know it drives people insane, but I just think that darn thing was used for something in this case.

Not much daylight left. With the clouds it's getting dark fast. I pray and pray that today is the day, just like every other day! God Bless LE for caring so much more for this precious child then the people who were supposed to be her safe haven ever did.

MOO but I don't believe the cancer came back. I don't believe they helped her die or anything like that. I can't in the deepest part of my mind imagine helping a child die from cancer. I certainly can't imagine doing something like that and living with something like that and then writing the kind of letter EB did to ""Damien."" I just don't see it at all.

I agree. Since EB said, in the letter, (paraphrasing again) '...if Zarah hadn't survived cancer..." To me, that means EB thought the cancer was in the past so EB knows she didn't die of any illness that EB would think was due to cancer anyway. I cannot see them helping her either even if they thought she was sick due to a stomach flu or coughing up blood because it would cost money money money in this country.

One of my scenarios, though, is the cancer growing again in her lungs (I don't think it was ever totally gone in there) causing a lot of dry coughing which was annoying EB in her room. AB said something of "my wife heard her coughing in there" which I think has a shred of truth -- that Zahra maybe was starting to cough a lot. I could see EB banishing her outside to sleep in the car at night which could account for blood found in the car if she were coughing up blood. But maybe, in EB's mind, she didn't associate this with cancer thinking it was just an annoying cough.

This was a good news update. Sounds like tomorrow is going to be a busy day. Hopefully it will be the day for sweet Zahra.

Not knowing which type of bone it is makes it difficult to say that LE is pretty sure they know it's human. I am not saying it is not- however, there are only a few bones (such as, for example, a skull) which are immediately identifiable as human.

Sometimes DNA tests are done in days (Chelsea King) and in others it takes weeks or months...but I would hope they would have some priority set up for this case...

Yes it does. Which makes me again think of all the cutting and removal of walls and floors and refrigerator. It's also why I said in an earlier post that it is more than likely that they not only know that it is a human bone, but if it had cut or slice marks on it, they will be almost certain it is Zahra and simply await DNA results for confirmation. Just as they did with the prosthetic leg. They HAVE to have confirmation.

They have the SBI and FBI involved. I am sure they will speed it along as quick as they can. It could take days, weeks or months.

Oh I so agree with you. I also think that maybe they found something other along with the bone that comfirms that 1) the bone is human and 2) the bone is most likely Zahra's.

Not knowing which type of bone it is makes it difficult to say that LE is pretty sure they know it's human. I am not saying it is not- however, there are only a few bones (such as, for example, a skull) which are immediately identifiable as human.

They are locking down an entire area over night, had media leave and restricted the chopper and they are threatening arrests.
They absolutely have something solid, they wouldn't do all this if there was a possibility it is an animal bone.

They will do a preliminary tests right away and will be able to tell if its human or not. We will probably know by tomorrow.
