Allred?? What a 'striking' last name to choose as an alias!!

I'm just guessing but I think Fairchild might be her maiden name and Allred could be a former married name. With women the different names get confusing because LE lists them all as aliases, whether the names were legal or made-up names.

Could the surname Allred have come from a previous marriage?

AKA or alias' are not always made up names but names we have used legally in the past KWIM?

The reason I ask is from puttering around genealogy websites while looking up some ancestors in the past, I remember that the surname Allred is deeply rooted and considered an "old" name IIRC the Carolina's or thereabouts?

One of her last names was Young, I think, from a marriage don't know, it could be her maiden name.

Okay I'm going to ask again and I'm sorry but what is this about Zahra's mom being 'on to them'. Who had custody in Australia and was the dad running from the bio mom? If so for what reason? I realize we might not know all the answers to this yet but anything you could tell me would help tremendously. I am very confused. I tried to find past posts regarding this and had no luck.

Mew, in one article late yesterday (I think) it mentioned that the mom did not know she was in the US until last week...we pondered if that was why the fire/missing/crap story got told when it did if she had been missing for awhile already.

I find it much harder to distance myself when kids are involved. maybe because i work with kids? and love them dearly? or just because kids are so innocent, and hurting a child is so incomprehensible.

i think the fact that you're in pain over this shows the kind of person you are. that said, don't be afraid to take some distance if it's too much...

Not sure if this has been discussed but didn't she stay with another family on weekends occasionally (Britney or something was the name I think)? Does anyone know if they shared any recent pics of Zahra with authorities or the media?

This was good to see. I think earlier it was brought up that she had a "6668" in her myspace name.. That is actually the month, day and year of her birth: 06/06/68

This goes back to earlier today - late morning I think. There was one media link that talked about bio mom. It said she hadn't seen Zahra for 5 years and had been searching for the past year for her. She found out JUST LAST WEEK that AB and Zahra were in the US and that he remarried.

That's all we got. There was some discussion as to why she hadn't seen her for 5 years and yet only started looking for her last year.

Thing is - we did see that bio mom and just found out that they were living in Hickory NC recently.

I'm not sure even in the light of what has happened that SM meant it as a slur against Zahra. Perhaps because in this picture Zahra is dressed in all black she is a dark child? I cut up about my youngest being "dark" because she prefers dark, black or abby dawn clothing LOL KWIM? JMHO I could be wrong.

Zahra Baker case: Police searching in Burke County

Burke County Sheriff John McDevitt said Tuesday and Wednesday's intensive search off Hartland Road would last until investigators find what they are looking for or rule out the area. This search represents the fourth day investigators visited the property.

McDevitt said approximately 50 investigators were on scene, watching as a backhoe clears brush.

McDevitt said Tuesday night there have been "many hits" but none that he would call conclusive.

McDevitt confirmed that Adam Baker was on site with investigators. He characterized his behavior as "not exactly cooperative," adding that, in his opinion, Baker is not being truthful.

Green said he visited the home weeks ago, but Elisa Baker told him Zahra was sick and couldn't leave her room.

That includes next-door neighbor Charles Bost, who says Zahra's father and stepmother, Adam and Elisa Baker, chatted with him in the yard once or twice and mentioned their dog.

But, he says, in the month and a half the Baker's lived here, they never mentioned a daughter

Wonder if he is sticking to the "last time I saw her was Thursday" story? The police probably know this hooey, hence the comment he still isn't telling the truth. I bet LE know in their hearts she was never in that house alive.

I'm assuming that because what I posted above is part of her criminal history, these 'aliases' were in fact her names at some point. I doubt LE would just take her word for it. I coined them 'aliases' because when I put the name we knew into a public search engine, it gave me those other names as 'possible aliases.' I had no idea I would actually find charges listed to all of those names of hers.

I do not. I do know they have been very willing to share stories of SM's treatment of Zahra and the news was not flattering to either SM or dad.

So, that might not be true about the bio mum last seeing Zahra when she was 8 mths old? Ohhh, I wonder if Adam Baker has been telling lies about the bio mum and has kept her deliberately from Zahra?
