hhhmmmmmmm now ya got me wondering about those passports found in the Tahoe. Maybe those passports were theirs but under alias names? Maybe that's how they got in and still gave them the benefits from Australia?

Its obvious they were scammers (albeit not very good ones). Would love to know what LE has found as far as background on all this!

Well, now you got me going hmmmmm.

In earlier threads I was asking people how he might have got his green card and I along with others assumed he filled out the paper work and did it all legally on a spousal visa- this could even be one of the reasons why Elesa was in Australia for so long, doing all the paperwork.

Now, I'm really wondering if he did came on a tourist visa and went walkabout (off the grid)?

I just can't see these two doing/filing all the paperwork - I believe it's interminable.

I don't play Mafia, but I play other games on facebook... The game will put a notice up of what you've won or whatever... The player is given a choice to either Delete/Skip or Publish it on Facebook... Obviously she choose to publish it... very poor choice in my opinion...

No exception as Zahra (herself) would not be getting any benefits the father would be and the only benefit I think he would be eligible for is a carers allowance, which is actually not that much. However, if he was getting this I wouldn't put it past that couple to try to keep getting it.

It is possible he spun some sort of story to Centrelink but I don't think they would still be buying it two plus years later and paying out that benefit.

Right, the person who listed all the info here previously stated that it took something like 7 years for the dependents who came from over seas to be eligible for anything, in the mean time, the sponser, spouse, parent, was responsible and has to prove resonsibility, for all expenses, housing, medical, insurance, you know, health and welfare of the parties brought stateside.

Right, the person who listed all the info here previously stated that it took something like 7 years for the dependents who came from over seas to be eligible for anything, in the mean time, the sponser, spouse, parent, was responsible and has to prove resonsibility, for all expenses, housing, medical, insurance, you know, health and welfare of the parties brought stateside.

Soooo, this is all looking a bit suss that he was on the correct visa or had a green card. Definitely something for LE.

So rapt LE have her behind bars right now. Given there were passports, my guess is the both of them were heading our way (Australia). Thank gawd that ship has sailed.

I know this was likely posted somewhere....but I never saw it. Could you please let me know why we believe AB and/or ZB were getting benefits from the Australian government while living in the US?

Upthread someone asked about US benefits and the application process being a nightmare. It isn't. AB would HAVE to apply for his documentation quite early upon his arrival in the US. We are talking about maybe 5-10 pages of paperwork...and most of it is filled out by government employees. Anyway, AB would be entitled to an immediate legal residency due to his marriage to EB. He would not need a job or anything else, because his marriage is what makes him legal.
Further, ZB would also be a legal resident, because she is his child and is residing with him in his home. Because she is a legal resident, she would qualify for SSDI.....which is approved almost immediately because it is needs based. I'm not sure what EB did for a living....I believe she is a 'stay at home mom' Vomit!
But if she didn't have any income....and dad was a woodchip machine operator, they likely qualified for the SSDI benefit and Medicaid for Zahra, and would recieve payments and medical benefits the following month (in most cases).

That list doesn't really surprise. When you consider the maiden name and several marriages. They all look like a combination of those names. It not like there is a name listed that is totally out of place such and Juliette Ross (example only).

Non US citizen's are eligible for US Social Security disability under certain circumstances. Believe it or not, even illegals who have illegally worked in the US and paid into Social Security are eligible for benefits (amazing I know). Zahra is a US citizen and eligible for benefits under the imigration and naturalization laws (her father is married to a US citizen which automatically makes him and Zahra US citizens and eligible for all benefits as any other naturally born US citizen).

Missing a limb automatically qualifies an individual for disability, there would have been no extensive paperwork. Citizenship paperwork would have had to be done at the time of marriage and prior to biodad working legally in the US.

Zahra and Zahra's father would not be US citizens. They would be here an a green card, permanent resident alien status and had to apply for that in OZ. Only after living three years in the US could they apply for US citizenship providing he was still married to that [unusual person]. Otherwise , it would be 5 years.
Besides Zahra's father , with apparently a record of writing bad checks, would have a hard time becoming a US citizen, even after three years. People have been deported for less than that.

Her hearing aids were there so unpacking and arranging her room could have been staged. They should definitely check for her prints though if they haven't already.
