Two happy endings in one day! One in Brazil and one here in NC!

A cousin said Thomas has mental problems and had not been taking his medication. The cousin, 14, acknowledged that the two had fights, but she doesn’t think Thomas would hurt Zy’rah, who she described as “real quiet and sweet. She was a good child.″ “I know she’s OK because he wouldn’t hurt her,” said the cousin, who lives in the same apartment building.

She said that at one point Thomas called the family to say Zy’rah was in Erwin. She said she had not given deputies that information.

What the huh??? Why would you not report to the police but talk about it in public??!! (Sorry I know I'm behind but this just made my eyes cross).

Wow. I'm shocked but so happy to hear she was found safe. It is not often we see this outcome. I expected the worst when seeing so many new posts. Happy to have my gut wrong on this one!

2 NC cellphones here without alert in Columbus County

I never got phone alert but was driving on 40 in Greensboro just as alert went out and sign on hwy only said call 511 for info.Do they really think people are going to call driving down the road?

I had no idea there were so many North Cakalakians on Websleuths.

I never got phone alert but was driving on 40 in Greensboro just as alert went out and sign on hwy only said call 511 for info.Do they really think people are going to call driving down the road?

I had no idea there were so many North Cakalakians on Websleuths.

I never got the phone alert either. Wonder if it was because they seemed sure she was not out of Harnett County?

I know cuffem, this just makes my blood boil. Call 511? Who’s too lazy to electronically type the name and description of the missing child and suspected abductor into the highway board system? I need to write a letter to someone...maybe Roy Cooper. The current system is not effective enough.

However, what fantastic news that this child is safe!!!! I wasn’t expecting this outcome. I hope the mother never ever engages with the “boyfriend” (alleged abductor) again!! I’m so happy this child is safe. ❤️

*Probable Cause Hearing - NC - Zy'Rah Nicole Holliday (3) (Oct. 31, 2017) Found safe - Daquan Seandre Thomas (20) - arrested & charged with 1 count felony child abduction & 2 counts of misdemeanor child abuse. $200K bond More charges possible per LE
