Man missing after early morning fire near Hillsboro

Adam Gettel, 35 yr old Hillsboro man
Daughter of Adam Gettel, around 2 yrs old

The search is on for a man and his two-year-old daughter after an early morning fire destroyed their home near Hillsboro.

Authorities say after searching the rubble they were not able to locate any bodies.

Family identified Adam Gettel as the person living in the home. Family also stated he has a 2 year old daughter.

His vehicle was parked near the house but was currently not running correctly & was in the process of getting fixed.

Family also stated since his vehicle was’t running, he was borrowing a vehicle from someone else.

**I’m not able to find if the borrowed vehicle was still at his residence or not...or whether AG was currently still borrowing this particular vehicle.

A family member identified the missing man as 35-year-old Adam Gettel and said his nearly 2-year-old daughter is also missing.

Unable to link from my phone but both were found dead in the burned house. The father's body was covering his daughter according to Grand Forks Herald.

Prayers for all involved....
Efforts to find and recover Gettel and his daughter’s bodies were slowed as the fire continued to smolder for most of Thursday. Hunt said two bodies recovered after the fire were sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Grand Forks for an autopsy.

Authorities are still working to learn what caused the fire. The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation is involved in the case.
