There's a reason the police in Fargo are asking the police in Grand Forks, which is 75 miles north of Fargo, to talk to the residents of a specific block, of a specific street, in Grand Forks. Too bad we have no idea what that reason is.

Thanks I had not noticed that info yet:

Found this:
Grand Forks police investigators were assisting in the case Wednesday, canvassing a northside neighborhood in that city for information.

Lt. Brett Johnson, head of investigations in Grand Forks, said his department was visiting homes around the 1800 block of Second Avenue North in search of information related to LaFontaine-Greywind's disappearance.

"We received a request from them (Fargo police) to help them on that case and to do a neighborhood canvass," Johnson said.
Johnson said the officers were in the neighborhood a few hours and would not be out again unless asked by Fargo police.

Anderson said Fargo police were "trying to corroborate statements and narrow our investigation and we asked GFPD to assist us."

Another news outlet reported that Grand Forks police were looking for four men. When asked about this, Anderson said that was not true.

"Just let me be clear," he said. "We are not looking for anyone. We know the whereabouts of the people mentioned in the report."

BBM. Interesting regarding corroborating statements and the 4 men. Sounds like they have 4 POIs giving statements and police are following up on that. JMO.

From the Fargo Forum- if true sounds pretty bad...

Two people who live in LaFontaine-Greywind's building on the second floor, Christipher Miranda and Rhonda Grimli, said they heard noises in the bathroom above their apartment on Saturday afternoon.
"We were getting ready to leave (and) we heard a banging in the bathtub," in the third-floor apartment above them about 1:30 or 2 p.m., Miranda said. He said the sounds lasted 15 to 20 minutes."Then the shower turned on. It seemed kind of odd," Miranda said.

This literally made me almost throw up.

The Deputy Chief said Greywind’s disappearance is “a little bit odd”, but he says they have no evidence to suggest any sort of crime has been committed.

A little bit odd?? Doesn't he have a hinky meter? Because I have not heard one person here describe this case as a little bit anything. It's off the odd chart. It doesn't hurt to shake the tree and see what falls out. But, the tree isn't going to shake itself!

There are only 11 houses and no apartments on the 1800 block of 2nd Ave No. in Grand Forks. The Fargo police asked the Grand Forks police to assist------ and they focused on this specific location? Interesting.

God, I just want to drive up there and start kicking doors in until I find her. This is crazy.

I think that was an early statement from police (at least I hope so) because they are now saying they are treating this as a criminal investigation:
FARGO —Fargo police are treating the disappearance of a 22-year-old pregnant woman as a criminal investigation.

The Fargo Police Department's full investigative team is working on the case of Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind, who has been missing since Saturday, Chief David Todd said on Wednesday, Aug. 23.

"This is our No. 1 priority. All of our resources have been focused on this since the beginning," Todd said.
In a Wednesday afternoon email, Deputy Chief Joe Anderson said: "We are treating it as a criminal investigation and have since Sunday."

Oh no! Hoping they find this young woman! Pretty sad world to harm someone over clothing if that's the case. Praying for the baby's well being too!

Oh no. Banging upstairs in the bathroom, then the shower running.

I think she has been murdered. :scream:

I have missed a lot. I should have caught myself up first. Glad to see LE is taking this more serious than a runaway perspective they seemed to have earlier.

No worries, it's moving really fast! I hope they find Savanna soon.

They have searched that apartment 3 times, so I imagine they have reason to keep going back.
I can think of other scenarios that would require 20 minutes of banging around, including cleaning a very neglected shower, or cleaning something while it was in the shower. When living in apartments, the shower often gets re-purposed for different cleaning tasks, in my experience. I'm just trying to come up with reasons it wouldn't be the murder of this beautiful human.

That could explain the scene being cleaned up.
If the baby was removed in the bathtub... clean up would be much easier.
If they didn't search the apartment quickly (within hours) or thoroughly (drains, pipes) evidence could have been rinsed right down the drain.
Then the rest moved when it seemed safe to do so both without leaving evidence or without being seen.

I was really really hoping she was being held captive somewhere until she delivered.... but this detail makes me think that is not the case.
I hate these cases. I was SO paranoid while I was pregnant. I hid my pregnancy whenever possible. It was terrifying.
I hope we are wrong and she just put up a fight being restrained so she could be transported and concealed.

I'd like to know if the people involved in the dress modelling were white. I am asking because I have seen tension between white people (especially poor and uneducated) and indigenous people (especially people from the reservations like S's family and her boyfriend's family). If there was already a conflict over S's clothes being taken from the washer, left on the stairs, and even worn by the woman upstairs, I can imagine how that could explode among folks harboring resentment/stereotypes/racism/prejudices towards native Americans. It can get ugly quickly.

I think this woman and the woman upstairs are 2 different people. The woman interviewed saying she has never meet Savanna is someone who's name was posted on FB.
But the neighbors say she lives there And is lying

I'm thinking the woman was used to learn the girl in obviously and it could either be to take her baby it could be payback for being accused of stealing her clothes and she possibly had her boyfriend and his friends harm her
