Police here are investigating the discovery of a human bone found on the side of a road earlier this week near an American Indian burial ground.

The medical examiner's office in Grand Forks reviewed pictures of the bone and identified it as a radius bone, one of two large bones between the hand and elbow.

The bone may be submitted to test DNA against missing persons. Two small bone fragments were also found nearby.
