The Kearney Police Department is searching for a missing 40-year-old believed to be in danger.

KPD said in a release on Facebook Amanda Young left her home on Thursday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. driving her beige 2001 Dodge Caravan, with a license plate 9C2013.

Police do not suspect foul play and do not believe that anyone else is involved in Young's disappearance.

Police say family and friends think that Young may harm herself.

She was last observed wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.

Some quotes:
ODESSA, Neb. — A Kearney woman apparently spent nearly four days in her vehicle in subzero temperatures before being found Monday morning.

Amanda Young, 40, was found around 10 a.m. in a remote area of Phelps County on a minimum-maintenance road. A landowner reported seeing her missing vehicle in his field, said Mike Kirkwood, a Kearney Police Department captain.
When she was found, Young was wearing the same clothes she’d left in, Kirkwood said. Young had no food or water, and at some point her van had run out of gas.

She was conscious and alert when deputies found her.
So glad she survived!
