Thank you for posting this. What a great family. God Bless them. It’s hard to imagine him leaving good people like this behind, or not coming home if he could.

Boy I’d like to see this one be a positive ending, against the odds.

Random question. Anyone know if there was a third party interfering in his family life?

Haven't heard anything like that and I'm not getting that vibe. I wonder why "last week was rough" (what the mom said).....what was the strife? What were they arguing about?

Has there been any mention of perhaps his going back up to Edgemont, South Dakota where he grew up and may still have family and friends?

With a man this age, I always think it's adjustment to family life..,the standard. However, it looks like he comes from a solid family foundation that would have prepared him for lifes milestones.
Praying for a miracle for this family, despite what it looks like ATM.

Community gathers to pray: ‘Bring Chance Home’
On the evening of Saturday, July 20, family and friends gathered at the Fall River County Fairgrounds in Edgemont with one heart and goal in mind — to pray for the safe return of the 25-year-old missing son, husband, father, grandson, friend… Chance Englebert.

[...]

Englebert went to school for 12 years at Edgemont and graduated in May of 2012. The Edgemont area native went missing exactly two weeks to the day prior to the prayer vigil after leaving a Gering, Neb., residence on foot...

[...]

DE expressed her gratitude to everyone present at the vigil saying, “The prayer vigil showed us what we already knew, everyone loves Chance and wants him home. He is loved and missed. He completes our family and we feel lost without him.”

On behalf of the entire family, they are requesting continued prayers and asking citizens to please continue spreading his story.

“Someone has to know what happened that night,” DE added. “We are begging for them to come forward. If he needed to walk away from being an adult we understand 100 percent and we are here to help him. We just need answers. Please.”

Did Chance move to Moorcroft for his first job, the one that went into bankruptcy or did he move there for this new job? Had he and his wife and new baby ever lived there?
For a young wife and new baby, it seems like a very small town and to be there without family or friends nearby would be very difficult, especially if your husband was gone all day to work.
I wonder if he was being pressured to look for work in Scotts Bluff so his wife could be closer to her family and friends.

"With the river levels falling after heavy rains and flooding earlier this month, Baylee and family have been in contact with volunteer search and rescue divers but thus far no waters have been searched.

The North Platte River is not safe to enter at present, according to Rogers, due to the rapid and unsteady conditions of the river."

Moorcroft Man Remains Missing After Weekend Search

The river hasn't been searched yet.

Chance Leslie Englebert: Loves the outdoors and good bareback horses
The man sure loves the rodeo !! I wonder if he was being told that since he is a father now he had to take more care with his health and life and give up bareback riding. That could certainly result in an argument.

In one article I did read that she felt that he was dead and that she thought someone might have intervened in his walk. There is rumor floating around about one them had other romantic interest. I haven't heard this proved to be true. Many of the reported sightings in Scottsbluff and Gering have turned out false.
Let’s hope neither are true, but interference in a marriage is sadly, a common theme. Not sure why that came to mind in particular, but let’s hope it’s a false notion.

With every day that passes, the chances of him being hearty and Hale diminish.

What was the argument at the family members about; anyone know?

At this point, I tend to agree with the wife that CE is dead.
Although I don't believe he met with foul play.
I think he is probably in the river and it will be a while before his body turns up.
MOO.

What the argument was about is not known as far as I know. Which is interesting in its own right. As for the friends he called, I would like to know where they are. If they were in Casper, that is over 3 hours away. They may not have been able to just pick up an come get him. The lack of direct information from friends and family (ie media interviews) is odd.
It is said he called a friend from Torrington to come get him. That's a 45 minute drive. Friend says he told him no. But wishes now he had picked him up

Thanks. Not sure how to. I'll try to figure it out. I forget the different rules when I hop on different pages. Sorry folks!

I've wondered that too. What was so rough the week before? The family in general is always kind of vague in what they say. She also says his brother is his best friend and worst enemy. And also tells chamce to ignore the last text his brother sent and to please just come home

Meet the Martinsons, Gillette's demolition derby family
5d39dbe16a7a5.image.jpg

Brothers KM, PM and TM with TM’s demolition car at their home Wednesday evening. The M's have painted their cars in honor of their friend, Chance Englebert, who has been missing for more than two weeks.

You’ve heard of families that seem to specialize in one sport or another, like the one that has five sons who start for the varsity football team, and the one with sons, daughters and cousins who are basketball stars. They’d be known as a football family or a basketball family.

But a demolition derby family?

[...]
Most definitely a rural thing. We even have a race track here for these derby and others. It's actually a pretty popular thing here :)

I thought he grew up in Edgemont, South Dakota on Edgemont Ranch and that his family still lives there. And, I thought her family lived in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska and they were visiting her grandparents there when he took his walk.
It must be hard on his parents and his brothers to not be able to come down to search for Chance.

I am not certain what it was about. From the posts that I have read the family has not revealed that. They want to focus on the search and not have people caught up with focusing on the argument.

I know that drones have been used and searches on foot, using ATVs, etc. around the river.
What I meant was that the river has not yet been searched by divers.
If his body is in the river it is still most likely underwater.
Sadly, we have many threads where a young fellow has gone in the river. Current and temperature play a big part on when they surface, but it “seems” it’s usually around 4-6 weeks.
