Does anyone have any sort of a time line for the evening they all went out such as where, with who, etc? Do we know where Scott stayed that night if he didn't go home??

First of all, Thank you for posting secondly:

If you are reading this thread...then post. We need your opinion your thoughts-what you know to be fact. The verdict here is overwhelmingly SCOTT-yes, we know. I believe it too-as an outsider. I also believe there are people who know more on this post that are sitting behind their keyboards enjoying the ride. It is fun--is it not? Just reading what we are saying...Maybe even laughing at our assumptions?

How did I get here... How did I come to care this much about someone that I don't even know. I KNOW that there are others out there that care MORE or as much as I do. Thank you to those who continue to piece this together.

Thank you MMLEIKIM for putting your ace on the line. No doubt this has been difficult for you but your information has been vital and will continue to be Also thank you to djkbe0416, MCSDRAW, "freinds", Bobbiesangel, Jesikah1, Fairy1, Spector and others who have been proactive in all of this!!!

I continue to contact news stations/newpaper and anyone that I can to cover this case. DONT GET DISCOURAGED. Are you reading for entertainment or are you thinking, researching and posting.

In conclusion, I have a great life, a great family and much much more than I deserve. For some reason this case scrapes my very soul-it's wierd as I am hundreds of miles away and have no connection to Corrie. Who are you? Who is posting?(don't answer your real name) Do you know Corrie? Do you know something? Do you care about this case and why we know so little?

One of the reasons that I beg for your opinion and imput is to show the interest that people truley have in this case so that the media will pick it up. THIS POST WILL SOON BECOME THE MOST VISITED SITE ON THIS WEBPAGE...

Are you sitting there reading this for your own enjoyment or do you want to make a difference. This, most likely is your only chance.

I've been going back and forth on whether I should post anything or not. I am local to Perkins County, but I did not know Corrie & I don't know Scott. I do not have any information to add to the pot.

I am however, very interested in the case as it pertains to the community that I live in and raise a family in. I do want to see justice served to whoever is responsible for Corrie's death.

I'm rather frustrated with what seems to be a total lack of common sense in our local LE. I don't understand at all why they released the home to friends/family within the first 24 hours. Why it wasn't sealed off from the very beginning is a total mystery to me.

I don't claim to know who killed Corrie, but I have my opinions- as someone who is not attached at all to anyone involved in the situation. I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out who the prime suspect should be. JMO.

I truly appreciate the people who have invested their time, energy and intellect in this case- whether you knew Corrie or not. This needs to be solved one way or another and soon if you ask me. If this case goes cold it will be a shame on our community and local LE. (It wouldn't be the first time, as the last murder that I know of was completely mishandled and the man went scott-free to walk our streets for the last 10-15 years. They called it a suicide.)

Those of us who call Perkins County home take great pride in it and are thankful to have such a close-knit community. Generally speaking, people are always there to help out a neighbor in need. Grant, and the surrounding communities have a lot to offer and the people who have made it so have invested a lot in that. Again, I will say- what a shame it would be to let this case go cold and another killer free to walk our streets.

I support the idea of a letter campaign to Greta & have been entering my own "tips" on Fox's website almost daily. I hope this does get national attention... that will pressure LE to get on the ball with this case!

Welcome to WS Iphigenia!! We appreciate the local insight, and I find your info about the last case (murder or suicide?) very interesting.
I hope this case gets solved soon, Corrie deserves peace.

I know this really doesn't pertain to the case, but I did want to mention that I'm pretty sure the friend that took Corrie home either posts here or reads here because after she cried to my mother in law, I sent her a message telling her to be more adult next time and explain to me that she had a problem with me asking questions. Well, that message resulted in some swearing and telling me that the cops know what I've been saying (which is just what I've posted here, I don't talk to anyone in Grant in person about this case) and that the cops know who I am and where I live (whatever that's supposed to mean).

I just want to make sure everyone here understands that anything I've posted here was hearsay. I have never once passed anything off as fact. I've repeated things that the friend told my mother in law and my husband in regards to her involvement of the case but that's all. She told me to butt out, but just so she knows, I WILL NOT. This is MY town and I'm as much a part of it as she is and even though I didn't know Corrie and barely know Scott, I feel that, as a concerned citizen, I have every right to be apart of this.

Sorry to have brought this all out here, but if anyone misunderstands anything I've said, I hope to have cleared that all up now.

Thank you. :)

Sounds to me this person who drove her home that talks to your mother-in-law is a bit nervous about what is being said and the questions that are being asked which way she is now trying to intimadate you with the :the police know what you are saying etc" crap......I apprecaite you clarify what you have said is hearsay and that it is not fact.......I hope this case is solved quickly.

Thanks, M -- I appreciate your posts and I don't think you have ever posted anything that is questionable or inappropriate. Regardless if the police read this or not you haven't done anything wrong. I agree with you and the new poster above (btw, welcome to WS and thanks for posting) about it being YOUR town, you pay taxes to pay your LE and such...you have the right to know your streets are safe.

Hi everyone! I have been reading this forum since this awful murder first occurred and finally got signed up so I could share a few things.
First, I am from Nebraska, but all the way across the state from where this tragedy occurred. Second, I dont know anyone involved, in fact I had never even heard of the town until this happened.

What I wanted to share is the following:
this goes back a couple of weeks ago when you were talking about the coroner. Nebraska is unique in that our coroners have NO medical training, the county coroner for ever county in the state is the COUNTY ATTORNEY. When elected they can go to a one day seminar to learn about crime scene investigation, death, etc. However, they have no medical background. This is such a big issue that the Omaha World Herald has done an extensive piece in the last few months on some of the botched cases in our states history due to inadequate coroner training. When I have some free time I will see if I can find you a link to it.

Second, some of you were talking about media coverage. I just wanted to give you some insight into the media here. There are two major papers, the Omaha World Herald and the Lincoln Journal Star. Both great papers, however I would guide you to the Lincoln paper to ask that they cover the story. The OWH, although the largest, does not cover stories in the far western part of the state in detail at all (it takes about 5 - 6hours to drive from the east side of nebraska (omaha) to the west side (grant). The Lincoln paper does a much better job of covering statewide news. The other option is the Kearney Hub (the 3rd largest paper and 2 hours closer to Grant). They have a fabulous staff and do a good job of covering state news also. I would help you pursue both of these, but frankly I am so busy right now that I dont even have time to simply read all of the posts every day.

As for the autopsy being back, I really believe that it is, just based on my experience. Having dealt with a tragic death in my family and having to wait for the results, it took three weeks to get the full report back. This was in Omaha, where there are numerous autopsies you are waiting in line behind. If I remember right Corrie's was done in Scottsbluff, so I can assume the case load is much lighter there so I would expect a quicker turn around. At this point tho, it is a strong possibility that the family may not even have the full report, the police can withhold it based on their investigation.

As for the family not speaking or seeming to exhert any pressure, I am guessing that the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) is keeping them in the loup (probably not disclosing all of their evidence) as to what is happening, etc. The family not wanting to jeoprodize the case simply isnt speaking. Thats JMO based on things I have seen and experienced (not at all related to this case). This would also explain why Scott was asked not to attend the service.

I have to run, but I will come back and share more of my ideas as soon as I have some extra time. Keep the ideas coming, I love reading everyone's posts. Oh and get out there and vote if you havent already :-)

The OWH expose I referred to earlier about the inadequacy of Nebraska coroners.

This is just one of the articles in the list, but if you look to the right side of the screen within the article you will see a box "RELATED". This box contains links to the other stories. They ran one every few days for a week or two...from what I remember.

Thank you for the link proudmama. I have only read one article, and all I can say is "Wow"

That's a very thorough list. I think it would also be helpful to know what kind of mood Corrie and Scott came into the bar with? And did it seem like the argument was over when they left?

This is frightening! I don't want to slam any LE, but obviously, in very small communities where processing murder scenes is not the norm, it's reasonable to have limited expectations. But coupled with basically untrained ME's, what are the chances they can be thorough enough to catch the criminals when necessary. Wow....

Can someone tell me if I can post a picture on this site and how??

  • #493
When making a new post look down toward the bottom - there will be a section dealing with "attachments". Pretty self explanatory...

Thanks :) I think it would be better to post as a picture VS a link due to having to sign up for things to view it - this might be easiest!

I find it really interesting that no one has called in any tips on the Crime Stoppers tip line. I've never heard of that before. Either people are afraid to call in their tip or no one but the killer knows what happened.

I wonder if all evidence was lost when LE didn't call Corrie's bedroom a crime scene and allowed everyone and anyone in there to do what they pleased?
Does anyone involved in this case even know how to process a crime scene?

I am preparing to post some pretty lengthy information -- I need help and I think what better than to give our fellow WS's a shot - I need to get back to my family and kids -- the computer addiction is out of control!! :) Look for it later this afternoon!!

I must be the only one that is rather tired of hearing LE repeatedly being beat up over, and over and over. We all know the scene was not handled properly as a crime scene to start, and was released premature so why keep repeating it. What we do not know is what evidence they have or what was collected at the time. We don't even know for sure how long before they released it. One hour, two hours, six hours, fifteen minutes. It really doesn't matter, it was done. It has all been hearsay to this point. We can do nothing about what is past except hopefully learn from it and help try to fix it. I do thank the post about the Coroners in Nebr. As stated in one of my earlier posts, I have a real problem with how that is handled. In my opinion, if the coroner was qualified, the scene would not have been released no matter what. He should have the say as to when and what is to be done so let's put some of the blame where it belongs. I don't know how to go about getting anything changed as far as properly trained Coroners, but something needs to be done.

Believe me, you're not the only one that's tired of the LE bashing. I stated that several pages ago. :) It sucks that it was handled poorly, but what's done is done and there's nothing that can change it, so rehashing it over and over is a bit much. :)

These are scotts dating profiles. I believe they are older -- 2007 --there is some interesting insight into them... Also, I did screen shots because you otherwise had to sign up and make a profile to see the link --

Another fellow WS's produced me this information regarding the numbers on his first profile picture:

"the numbers 14-88 best describe me, if you know their meaning then you already know something about me !!!"

14/88 is a code used by some racist skinheads, Neo-Nazi and other white supremacists.
http://www.cfnews13.com/News/Sidebar/2008/10/27/significance_of_14/88_to_white_supremacists.html

My next post is thanks to a fellow WS'er who found his yahoo 360 profile' and on that it shows him being a member since Januray 2007 -- how long was he with Corrie again???
