My theory is - it was vomit, this may be why the sheriff was okay with them washing sheets. Correct me if I am wrong, but I have not read that Scott found Corrie dead in bed. I believe it says she was found dead in the home. I think people may have gotten side tracked with the washing of the sheets and assumed she was in the bed. I find it hard to believe the sheriff was ok with sheet washing if the body was actually found in the bed!

RCT, this one article said she was found in bed. Found by Scott about 10AM, Scott called authorities, and coroner pronounced her dead at 10:32AM.

===========
LINCOLN — The Nebraska State Patrol has taken over the investigation of the beating death of a Grant, Neb., woman, who was found unresponsive in her bed Saturday morning.

Her body was discovered at her home at 427 W. Sixth Street in Grant about 10 a.m. Saturday morning. Her live-in boyfriend called authorities to report Wood was unresponsive. Perkins County deputies found Wood's body, and the Perkins County coroner pronounced her dead at 10:32 a.m.

I think that scott didn't have the intent to kill her that night but between drinking and being enraged it happened. I think that they were fighting at the bar and she wanted to go home, so red took her. I think that stopped at reds for whatever reason and then red took corrie home. I think that red knows scott killed her, but is scared to say because maybe she thinks scott will hurt her or her family or maybe scott has something hanging over her head. Jmo. I think that corrie called scott on his cell but he never answered. I think that because the phone calls were only 1 min and with in only mins of each other. I think that scott showed up at the house after red left, i think that red called him and said that she had gotten corrie home and in bed. I think that he beat her for a long period of time. I don't think that it was a couple of hits and she was gone. I believe that it took time. I believe that he kicked her repeatly while she was down on the ground, like a coward would have. I don't think she could have fought back becuase of how drunk she was, i knew corrie well enough that if she could have kicked the hell out of him she would have, but she was so small compared to him. I think that he put her back into bed and cleaned her up a bit, left the house to get a story called red and told her that it was a accident and she fell and hit her head or something and le would try and say it was a homicide and but the blame on him because of him past, i bet she believed him for awhile but then i bet she questioned him and then maybe he scared her. This is jmo.

This is an excellent theory, and I believe that this is about exactly what happened, JMO. Just like BJH said, if Corrie could have kicked the hell out of him she definatly would have, she was not the kind to just sit back and take anything!! She had to have been in a position where she could not even defend herself, being really drunk or whatever it may be. I also think that she was beaten for a long period of time as well. It just doesn't seem like it was only just a couple of hits and she was out. Corrie was a tough girl even with her being small, she was completely helpless and he just beat the crap out of her and she had no choice but to take it. This was a very cowardly act, he knew he had to take her out while she was defenseless other wise it wouldn't have happened.

You have to have a certain amount of posts to be able to PM.

Someone, you can PM other posters with secret info, but you can't say you're going to PM them with info you're not sharing. It's against TOS.

Anyway, why not just throw it out here and see if it sticks?

If you think you have a great theory then why not post it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of what they think happened, go ahead and post we would all love to hear what you have to say :)

I do believe Scott killed Corrie. I don't believe he meant to do it, but whatever injuries he inflicted in the heat of the moment, killed her. I do not believe it was a lengthy beating, but maybe one or two fatal blows and because she had been drinking - probably a lot - she didn't show the signs right away. If Scott were to turn himself in now, he may get by with manslaughter, but the more he runs, the worse it will be for him. And if he continues to drive drunk, another innocent person may be killed...

I also agree with the kicking. What doesn't click is him putting her back to bed or cleaning her up. Then going on blue crime hunter blog and admitting that he is the one writing on it. That part just seems "messy" to me.

I agree with you RCT, I don't think that was Scott on blue crime hunter blog. However I can see him cleaning her up and putting her to bed. He beats her then does the "I'm so sorry, I love you, it won't happen again, here let me clean you up to show you how sorry I am".

I do think that was Scott on the Blue Crime Hunter blogs. Just my opinion though. He had posted on the True Crime Report blog as well. I know it seems "messy" but someone had posted about his arrogance and I think that is what we have here. An arrogant felon. Period. If you look at his record and look what he continues to do and he isn't currently locked up, we have an over confident arrogant person. To normal people like the posters here, it makes ZERO sense why he would post. However, I do believe that it was him. JMO.

I am pretty sure it was Scott that posted. The things he said directed towards me make me pretty sure it was him.

  • #793
Yes I also think that it was Scott posting on Blue Crime. Some find it hard to believe that he would do that but I don't because he has done a lot of things that are "messy", like defending himself about the DUI accusations but not killing Corrie, and also just seeming to be worried about dumb things but not the death Corrie...So it's not hard for me to believe that he is writing on there. JMO

The thread has been pretty quiet today. They always say there is calm before the storm. I have complete confidence this case is going to come to a resoloution VERY soon. There is some good info that leads me this conclusion. I don't want anyone to think nothing is happening....things are moving forward :)

I don't know if anyone really knows what theft by deception really consists of, but I did come across an officer talking about it today. The daughter of a woman had given her information to open an account... like social security # and all with out her knowing... makes me wonder what Scotts charges were for exactly. It may have been posted an I missed it. You know, someone who is deceiving enough to do something like this is going to mislead other easily... even those closest to them... like a compulsive liar. NSC I hope the pieces are coming together as quickly as it sounds!:)

I'm the one who called Scott arrogant. It really ticks me off to see him acting so nonchalant in the wake of his girlfriends death. I have been kicked senseless before, and I have also been deposed by a sleazy defense attorney about the lack of bruises on my attacker's hands. I distinctly remember saying "I guess he didn't have bruises because I have very soft skin. I moisturize daily. And he was kicking me with the boots I bought him, not punching me with his fists." That ended that line of questioning pretty quickly. Scott is a sociopath. He will undo himself.

I've heard from a fairly reliable source that the State Patrol has asked Scott and two others (Matt Beard and Jarrod Potts) to take lie-detector tests and they are all refusing.

Also, I've been told that Scott hasn't had a driver's licsence since 1991... I find that very interesting given his recent history of DUIs!

Thanks for that. I found a different case where a man was convicted of both theft by deception and terroristic threats (like Scott). In that other case, the state alleged that the man had taken money from a number of women through false representations and had threatened some of the women when they sought to get their money back.

There are a number of possible scenarios, and the key words are theft, deception, terrorize, and threatening. I agree with your thoughts on this type of person.

I AGREE WITH YOU ON THIS, WHERE ARE HER CLOTHES??? I WOULD THINK THAT THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A SHOE PRINT BRUISE ON HER SOMEWHERE. :waitasec:

Red should be able to tell the police what Corrie was wearing when she put her to bed. That way the police would know if she had the same clothes on when she was found in her bed later. I agree with the kicking. That makes more sense then him using his fists. That way his fists wouldn't be beaten up.

Thanks for that info. Re driving without license and DUIs - I don't think he feels the laws apply to him and he's apparently gotten away with a lot of stuff in the past.

Here's a sampling of his DUI/Driving While License Suspended charges/convictions. They tell an interesting story if you note the original charges, final charges, and dismissed charges.

Florida Charges (eventually dismissed prob ‘cause he moved out of state):
· April, 1997
o Knowingly Operating While DWLS (Driving While License Suspended)
o No Valid Drivers License
o DUI
· May, 1997 - Knowingly Operating While DWLS (Driving While License Suspended)
· June, 1997 - Knowingly Operating While DWLS (Driving While License Suspended)
· July, 1997 - Driving While License Suspended or Revoked 1st Offense

Nebraska Charges/Convictions:
· March 11, 2000
o Original Charge: DWI/DUI - 2ND
o Final Charge: DWI/DUI – 1st
o Final Charge: False Reporting – False Information
o Dismissed: Refuse Chem Test - 1ST
o Dismissed: Drive During Suspension – Subsequent Offense

· October 13, 2008
o DUI
o Unkown Charge? (will this turn out to be driving while license suspended?)
