For Sure Michigan and Nebraska. Not sure on the FL and Mass for Michael but Yes for Scott.

Sorry Steadfast, this is what I get for skimming --- Yes, that is correct

Someone else is dead and it is likely related... This case is about to take an interesting twist. That's pretty much all I can say at this time. Please don't leave a message on my answering machine about this... You know who you are! ;)

It sounds to me that these deaths are connected. Now i'm wondering about sherrie's death and if it was really suicide.

I'm really sorry guys, but I knew Michael Collins personally and he has nothing to do with Corrie's case. He was just a guy that moved a lot and had several jobs as a bar tender in his life (previously as one at the Underpass and Champions in Ogallala, NE and also the Cactus Palace in Venango, NE.) He was very good friends with Raul and Candy Bazan (so good and close, in fact, that he lived with them at times).

Mike lived in Ogallala but worked at the Cactus. His truck was broke down in Ogallala so he was staying at the Bazan's so he could work.

Mike was a good guy. He will be terribly missed. :(

I respect what you are saying. But how do you know he didn't hear something or know something while staying at the Bazan home?? It appears he has lived in a total of 3 states with the Bazans. Corrie was last seen alive at the Cactus.

Michael's obituary says he moved from Mass to FL.

ETA (Hadn't read ahead when I posted. Sorry about that, NSC!) Don't you think it's odd that these two people would have lived in this same combination of places and in the same order unless there's some connection to each other?

I don't see any reason why Michael would have any part in Corrie's murder, but if he knew something -- or even suspected something strongly -- he may have been very stressed at the time he had his heart attack.

If it was truly a heart attack that would be an amazing coincidence based off of the information I was given earlier today (which I CANNOT publicly divulge at this time for the safety of my family and other individuals). I hope and pray I haven't already said too much.
NSC, if there were some way to privately contact you I might be able to say a little more, but I am a long ways from having 30 posts!

The above post transfered from BCH was me thanks djkbs0416...I just felt that if that thread is where Scott or others that know something are posting then it was worth reaching out to them. The burden carried by guilt and shame is always the same...time does not make it go away, it just makes it seem heavier.

I'm wondering if the other death is the one in Imperial last week(homicide)that was previously said to be unrelated. ???

Your welcome :) I just thought that was VERY well put and SOOOO true! I hope the truth comes to the surface very soon!! Good Job!! :woohoo:

I'm sorry, but no one will ever convince me that Mikey and Corrie's deaths have anything to do with one another. I flip flopped from supporting Scott to not supporting him so much, but I will stand my ground on this. Mikey was just a lonely guy with no family around here. His family lives all over and the Bazan's were the closest thing to family that he had.

I know you guys want justice for Corrie, but it upsets me a great deal that you're pulling an innocent guy into it like this. It was hard enough to hear about his death. It was a surprise to hear about. And not to mention the other things I've heard that may have lead to his death...it's all too much to comprehend and accept.

I'm not one to stifle your investigation; I'm all for justice for Corrie as well. But Mikey had nothing to do with it. I highly doubt Raul Bazan had anything to do with it, either, but that's just my opinion.

He had been complaining of back pain and knee pain that evening...it's possible that the over use of pain medication contributed to his heart attack.

So we have 3 people dead correct? Corrie, kassi, and micheal? I'm i right?

Is there a connection between Corrie and Kassi? Did Kassi hang out with the same people as Corrie? If it's been mentioned before, I'm sorry I missed it.

MML,

I understand where you are coming from. And maybe this is true. However, I would like to point out this. If the allegations are true about Raul and Candy also being intoxicated that evening and allowing patrons to serve themselves....and if Scott was overserved because there was not a sober person tending bar...and is then arrested at some point for Corrie's death, the establishment could be liable in a wrongful death suit if Corries family chooses to file one.

That's all fine and dandy, but it also has nothing to do with Mikey and his death. Use Raul all you want in finding justice for Corrie, but leave Mikey out of it.

FWIW, it isn't unusual for Raul to be drunk at his own bar.

Well then, I rest my case :blowkiss:

Raul Bazan obviously knew Corrie before and probably Scott. He said Scott, Corrie and a couple of other friends arrived at the Cactus about 8:30PM on Friday, September 19th, and stayed for a couple of hours. He said nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

I would also like to know who was tending bar that night. Was it Raul or someone else? If they arrived about 8:30, Raul makes it sound like they left about 10:30, which is highly doubtful in my opinion. Is he downplaying the events due to any possible liability issues since he owned the bar as NSC mentioned? I hope he has been completely truthful with the NSP regarding the events of that night.

========
"This is hitting too close to home," said Raul Bazan, the owner of the Cactus Palace tavern in Venango, where Wood and a few friends had celebrated her birthday on Friday night.

"She was fun-loving, always smiling, always teasing someone," said Bazan.

Bazan said that Wood, her boyfriend and a couple of other friends came to his tavern about 8:30 p.m. MDT on Friday and stayed for a couple of hours. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, he said.

I don't know of a verified connection. Do any locals know?

No there is no connection between Corrie and Kassi, and no they did not hang out with the same people. :)

What if....Corrie, Scott and a few friends were at the bar. They got very drunk and Scott and Corrie got into an argument. They took the argument outside, Scott hit Corrie. Red takes Corrie in her car, someone takes Scott in his car somewhere else and the friends follow. Red stops at her place to do whatever it was, while there someone decides to continue the argument in Scott's place or perhaps Corrie was in a state and someone else gets into an argument with her. She gets hit/ kicked. Corrie is ringing Scott for help but he won't answer cause he's still mad. Red drives her home and puts her to bed. Where she subsequently dies of her injuries. Scott finds her and now is going off the rails because a. He thinks that the beating he gave her might have caused her death and/ or b. Knows that Corrie was ringing him and he didn't answer, perhaps if he did he could have saved her life. Red's story keeps changing because a. She knows who inflicted the fatal blows and is rightly scared, b. Scott is aware that she knows he hit her and is scared of him too???

[my bolding]

Seems like the locals might have some idea who this "someone" would be if this were the case. Who would be at Red's who would be angry enough or mean enough to beat Corrie to death?

  • #859
miss ellen :) I think your theory is good and couldve been possible. however, I am led to believe corrie was beat long and hard :( I think red did take loomis home, I think she went back to the bar to party...corrie wanted to go home at this point, red was being a good friend, drove her home. Scott came home and kicked her long and hard to her death.....i think it is simple and not something complicated. my theory is not without resource.

  • #860
Thanks Steadfast and NSC. FWIW, I totally agree that Scott did it. My reasoning for putting alternate theories out there is to show that no matter what way you look at it Scott is guilty as hell. What I don't get is why so many people are covering for him.
