This is an interesting one.... This is my first thread so I hope I have set everything up correctly.

Authorities Still Searching for Woman who went Missing in York County

"YORK COUNTY- The York County Sheriff’s Department is continuing their search for a missing woman. Jadey Jenkins, 30 of Omaha, has not been seen since Wednesday. The Nebraska State Patrol has assisted in the search also. The department received a call on Wednesday morning that a car was parked along I-80, 1.5 miles west of the Bradshaw exit and that possibly a person was sitting alongside the car. Her fiance had told the department she was traveling to Colorado or California where family lived, and she left Omaha around 9:00-9:30 AM on Wednesday. A deputy went to look at the vehicle, it was abandoned.

On Thursday, the sheriff’s department received a call from a local farmer that said he saw a person on foot run into a cornfield 1/2 mile north of the Bradshaw exit on Road H. The farmer could not confirm if the person running was woman or man. If anyone sees or has seen this woman, call the York County Sheriff’s department immediately at 402-362-4927"

It strikes me as odd to say that she was traveling to Colorado OR California. Maybe it's just me but I would think a loved one would know where someone was going. Maybe they weren't on the best of terms. JMO

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking.... huge difference between the two.

Maybe she wasn't sure and was traveling randomly to see whatever family lived wherever. If that makes sense. Or, maybe the fiancé is just not a good listener. I'm married to someone who would possibly mix up where I said I was headed. JMO.

When a deputy arrived to check out the vehicle, he found it abandoned, Vrbka said. There was no one there.
Inside the vehicle, the deputy found the belongings of the car’s driver, Jadey Jenkins, 30, of Omaha. That included her cellphone, wallet, credit cards and shoes, the sheriff said. The keys were also in the vehicle.
Using the information they had, the sheriff’s department called family members of Jenkins’. No one had seen her since Wednesday morning.
Missing woman sought after car found abandoned on I-80 in York County

It doesn't mention LE finding any luggage. Of course, that doesn't mean there wasn't luggage, it's just not mentioned in the article.

Always scary to find the cell phone/wallet still in the vehicle. JMO

I've stayed in York before on road trips. This is a very rural stretch of I-80 -- lots of cornfields and not much else for miles. Depending on your provider, cell service sometimes isn't real great either (although that doesn't explain why she would have left it behind).

these cases are so strange
abandoned car, keys and phone and wallet left in car
was she being chased by someone?
did she 'think' she was being chased by someone?
did she have a psychotic break?
is it a hoax?

Very strange and concerning. I wonder if the car has gas and is in working order? If her car broke down or ran out of gas and she had no cell service, would she have accepted a ride from someone who stopped? Or flagged somebody down? If the car is in perfectly good working order, I wonder what made her pull over on the highway? Not feeling well? Wanting to send a text or make a call? (Though they should be able to easily find that info by just looking at her phone).

I-80 runs east-west but north of Colorado. She may have planned to continue west across Wyoming, or take I-76 into Denver?

Lots & lots of wide-open space along either route.

Odd that he's unsure.

Seems perhaps she didn't tell him where she was heading ? Maybe that's his best guess. And the at risk is a big red flag.
Prayers that Jadey is found safe and soon.

So what does "at risk" mean exactly in a situation like this?

I took it to mean health or mental health issues.. But LE may have other criteria.
And maybe I missed it, was it stated if her car was in running condition ?

My assumption too. And how far would you get? She is literally on foot. She has to be found in one of those fields. However it's been 6 days so its not looking good.

Not seeing any new articles this morning. :(

I hope there's more information soon. It really is so troubling when their care is abandoned with their belongings inside.
