Found Safe NE - Jadey Jenkins, 30, car abandoned on I-80 near Omaha, 8 Jul 2020

My assumption too. And how far would you get? She is literally on foot. She has to be found in one of those fields. However it's been 6 days so its not looking good.
Her shoes were found in the vehicle - she is literally barefoot.

Wow!! No shoes? I mean, maybe she had a spare change of shoes but this is really odd. I mean, why take them off and leave?

where are you Jadey?

Does anyone know. Was the vehicle broke down? Flat tire. Wouldn’t start. Etc. or was the vehicle fine and it just appears that she had pulled over for some reason. Like to talk to someone she knew.

We don't know if her car had gas either.

Just some scenarios I'm throwing out there:

1) Car trouble (or getting sick, mental breakdown) and Jadey was abducted by some random person.
2) Jadey had some sort of mental breakdown, stopped the car on the side of the road and hid in the fields.
3) Jadey is still in Omaha, her car was driven and left, the driver hitch-hiked back to Omaha.
4) Jadey is still in Omaha, her car was driven and left, the driver and an accomplice drove back to Omaha in another car.

I hate to be the one to bring up the possibility of domestic violence/abuse, but with her fiance not knowing exactly where she was heading, it's possible they might have had some sort of argument.

There are plenty of gas stations along that route, but if she'd been afraid of someone who was following her catching up with her, she might have pushed her luck (maybe hoping to reach a larger city or somewhere further off the main interstate where she could blend in a bit more before stopping?)

Her partner is very vocal on SM and trying to get the word out on finding her. Praying for this lady.

Welcome!! I'm in the UK and can't open that link due to EU regs, apparently. Would you mind posting the extra info bits for me please?

I've been checking the area out on google maps, it's very remote. Anyone know if they've had tracker dogs out there?

Rather sparse population, but in my experience the people who live in this part of the world will stop to help other people.

Jadey needs help right now -- hope she finds that help quickly!

JMHO YMMV

Hello SandFam,
Welcome to Websleuths.

Just a question.
Is I-80 pretty consistently busy with traffic along that stretch of interstate?

Not the poster you've asked, but yes.

I-80 carries traffic to northern California. Lots of trucks, plenty of cars. Last time I drove it, the road itself was in much better condition than I-70.

Nebraska was forward-thinking when I-80 was built. When soil was taken up to build exit ramps -- the resulting holes were developed as fishing lakes!

The route is beautiful if you like prairie. Plenty of history along the way.

To get an idea of how busy I-80 is there, you can check out the webcam at that exit HERE

Do we know if there are any organized searches? I understand someone was seen running into a corn field. I wish we would hear something from LE.........

This is just really bizarre. Why would she leave her dogs?
