Found Safe NE - Jadey Jenkins, 30, car abandoned on I-80 near Omaha, 8 Jul 2020

What makes them so certain this is Jadey? Eyewitnesses are mistaken quite often.

Scanner app reports they have her and are treating for minor injuries. I'll look for a media release.

Maybe she stopped so the dogs could take a break/water/toilet and one ran off so she chased it.....(one was found out of the vehicle) no shoes because no time, driving barefoot maybe? Is that a thing?

It is a thing, at least for me it is. MOO. I’ve been doing it for 20+ years.
Something I’ve learned over the years is to bring a pair of slip on shoes or flip flops with me, in addition to my actual outfit shoes for emergencies, cause you never know when you may need them. When I was single and had my suv, I had an extra pair sitting on my passenger seat at all times. Well most of the time.

Whoa! What the heck has she been eating, where has she been sleeping? And shoeless?

How are they certain it was her?

6,5 days straight without anything. This is certainly a strange case. She must have suffered from a mental relapse, or a sudden episode. Because it is a strechted out area, but walking to the nearest house/farm to ask for help doesn't take up almost 7 days.

The paranoia and fear had to be enduring for her to keep going during those days. How awful to go through such an experience.

The York County Sheriff’s Department says that Jenkins was found in a ditch along Road I, between Roads 4 and 5, at approximately 11:00 PM. More information on the situation will be provided once readily available.

Jenkins was taken to York General Hospital for a medical evaluation and then placed in emergency protective care, the sheriff said.

“Think of what she had been through. She had been out there this whole time, walking, with no shoes on, through two major thunderstorms, with such heat during the day. The corn is eight, nine feet tall now. I can’t even imagine. We think she probably drank water from irrigation wells, in order to stay alive. We just don’t know,” Vrbka said.

This was a quote from Sheriff Vrbka, so seems they're thinking she's been outside this whole time. I'm limited to posting 10% of the article here, but it also stated she was incoherent when found.

Could she have simply got horribly lost and disorientated trying to get back to her car (ie if the dog ran off)? Looking at the map you can see it's just field after field with a grid of roads. But it's also flat, so you'd be able to see any landmarks or follow a road. We may never find out.
