LPD looking for missing woman not heard from in weeks

The Lincoln Police Department needs the public’s help in finding a woman who has gone missing under suspicious circumstances.

LPD said Jerica Hamre, 30, was last seen at her home in the 3500 block of Huntington Avenue in Lincoln on June 25.

If you look at her FB page linked in the thread, she has at least 2 children (there are recent photos of an infant, so that could be a third child or just an earlier photo of the other two - adorable kids and she looks so proud of them).

They found out she didn't show up for work on June 25 and just a few days earlier had been beaten up by two women and a man who she knew.

They had scheduled a trip to Lincoln on June 29.

But they could not get a hold of Jerica to finalize arrangements.

There are still questions surrounding 30-year-old Jerica Hamer’s disappearance, but her parents believe it may be tied to a previous assault she was involved in.

Jerica was last seen at her home near 35th and Huntington on June 25. Her parents say she moved to Lincoln from Wilcox in Kearney County two months ago. On June 24, LPD confirmed Jerica reported an assault that happened two days prior and she decided not to press charges.


“I think it’s suspicious because she was involved in a assault battery just days before her disappearance and of course that raises a red flag. It’s not like her to just go missing,” said Craig.

At this point, with what has been reported in MSM and by LE, we have very limited factual information regarding Jerica's disappearance.

So far, all I've read in MSM is that Jerica was assaulted by her three roommates (one male, two females), she declined to press charges against them, and very shortly afterwards she disappeared.

There's no information so far about what prompted the assault, and the roommates have not been publicly identified. We do know that she was unhappy with her living situation at that time, but from what I've seen no details regarding that have been released in MSM or by LE.

In addition, her family and friends have stated in MSM that Jerica's silence is most unusual for her. She has two young children, and apparently she has not contacted them, or anyone in her family, since her disappearance.

IMO it would be most helpful to know more about these 'roommates' and why Jerica was assaulted.

"She's had a life riddled around making bad decisions and hanging around the wrong people and it's just caught up with her in a bad way".

He also said:

Last pic posted is a kid photo and it is from 25th June, the date last seen. Otherwise few of her kids and that she is missing them
