COLUMBUS – A Columbus mother is asking for the public’s help to find her 21-year-old son, who has been missing since mid-January.

Amber Garrett says her son, Joseph A. Voecks, has been missing since January 14th, and was last seen leaving a Burger King in Norfolk. Voecks was last seen wearing a black American Eagle sweater, white tennis shoes, blue jeans, and a black leather jacket. Garrett says Voecks also wears glasses.

Voecks is listed as 6’3″ tall, weighing 220 lbs, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Garrett says she believes her son could be in danger.

Joseph Voecks, 21, was last January 14th leaving a Burger King restaurant on Pasewalk Avenue in Norfolk after an altercation with his stepmother. He walked off to the south.

Columbus Mother Still Looking For Missing Son; Missing 6 Months

Garrett says that Voecks has a family that misses him dearly, including a daughter, grandparents, mother, father, sisters, brothers, aunts, and uncles. Garrett also said that it is not in Voecks’ nature to leave without some sort of contact with his family.

Garrett says Voecks is diagnosed with ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder. Voecks also has a lethal cyst which is attached to the back of his head.
