The use of the past tense in these articles is also bothering me.
That is not normally done on the day a child goes missing...or the next day.
I would like to ask these spokespersons why they are doing that....:waitasec:

Are they doing that, or is the way the article is written? Again, hard to tell...

Before I will go any farther with what I'm thinking so far on not alot of information known.I would have to know if the step father dropped her off to school everyday all the time and who picked little Kerra up.

I reluctantly have to agree with those of you who have a very bad feeling about this child. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance seem very ominous....and it's hard to be hopeful for a good outcome.

I really, really hope we are all proven wrong. It would be so wonderful for a miracle to occur for sweet little Kerra.

NOT trying to be nit-picky but....

Bartling says there are still no real leads as to what happened after Wilson was last seen in the parking lot of the elementary school around 8 a.m after her stepfather dropped her off. Bartling says her relatives say she was a normal eight year old girl who was close to her family. Bartling says the girl's biological parents and stepfather have been interviewed, but said they are still "checking and covering all our bases " on whether they could be responsible for the disappearance.

Normal...? I could see them saying all sorts of descriptions, but normal sits wrong with me...

I don't think yoo're nitpicking... Every statement is important. However, this statement " She was a normal eight year old girl, who was close to her family " has to be read in totality MOO. I think the word " normal " here refers to a child who is "close to her family "...MOO That is, a child who has no issues of anger or defiance, and because she is close to the family, she would not have,say, run away... Just MOO... Where is she ?

Yes....and if anyone else saw her AFTER he left her at school. I haven't seen anything so far that clarified who was actually the last person or persons to see her that morning.

I don't believe there is an AMBER alert out for Kerra. I think those are missing child alerts.

What with the one below Kerra who is listed missing multiple times with many different ages?

I can see your point...I think you may be right in this case.

I guess in My profession when someone brings their child into my office and the first word they say about them is "they are normal" I feel as if they are being defensive of something that maybe special about their child..

There is a thread here for those kids....it is parental abduction from a child services visit....all the children have the same name with various middle names...taken by mother who snuck out a back door during a "supervised" visit.

I can see your point...I think you may be right in this case.

I guess in My profession when someone brings their child into my office and the first word they say about them is "they are normal" I feel as if they are being defensive of something that maybe special about their child..

Reminds me of someone I met who went on and on at our first meeting about how "well-behaved" her 4yo son was. At the time, with 3yo twin boys myself, good behavior wouldn't exactly make the top 10 list of things considered. I would have been going with amazing, funny, bright, etc. not well-behaved.

Kuxhausen says Wilson apparently walked north across the street to the Subway store, where several people say they witnessed her sit at picnic table. She was then seen walking toward the north parking lot of the school and that is the last thing authorities know.

Kuxhausen says cameras outside the building do not show her on school grounds or in the area where she would have entered the building.

So he pulled over at let her out on the street? I can't imagine they'd allow that? Most elementaries are pretty strict about traffic flow and crosswalk safety, etc.
