His license for the state of Alaska was obtained and then he renewed it. He had other state licenses (Pennsylvania in 2008 and then in province of Albert, Canada). State licenses are not permanent. States like to gig their health professionals for renewal fees.Do I read it correctly that he let it expire, then renewed it in 2012?
Hello. I've been following this tragic case since the beginning. When researching the Brumback killings I discovered this forum. I've read the threads and followed the links (many of which are no longer active). Last night, I looked at a Thomas Hunter memorial page and the tumblr blog dedicated to finding his killer. I found myself completely devastated.
I don't have too much to add other than there is a M.B. registered on LinkedIn as a Medical Practice Professional in the Missoula, Montana area. Under additional information, he lists an association with the "Forensic Medicine and Pathology" group. I have no idea if it's the same M.B. but I thought it was interesting.
I didn't sign in to view his profile as profile visitors are logged and displayed to LinkedIn members. It'd be interesting to know if he has any Omaha/Creighton connections. In the "viewers of this profile also viewed" section there is what appears to be a native Russian speaker and, interestingly, a criminal defense attorney.
I know M.B. is not listed as a suspect and Dr. Hunter has stated he has no reason to suspect his former resident. That said, I find it interesting that Calgary law enforcement took steps to protect his co-workers when the autopsy revelations surfaced.
Anyway, thanks to all for keeping this case alive.
There wasn't a picture but just now I randomly clicked on one of the people in the "viewers of this profile also viewed" list to see if LinkedIn even posted pictures on a public page. Interestingly, the guy that popped up happened to be a Creighton alum (with picture). The link was on the page I opened last night and not a recent refresh.
That is definitely the same MB. Several of his connections are from CU. However, the page may date back to when he worked there - no way of knowing if the connections are still active or in contact with him.
The profile page must be more recent (or at least updated) because it lists his location as Missoula, MT. There's a privacy setting that allows you to view profiles anonymously while signed in. That setting may be restrictive because I still wasn't able to see his connections.
I do think it's likely him though, FWIW.
I played around with photoshop comparing the the Calgary image with the one from VK.COM. It's definitely MB. Google "VK.COM" and MB's name to see for yourself.
All activity on the VK.COM site dates from late 2011. I believe the Calgary scandal became public in February, 2011. So where is he now? Montana?
OK, now I agree that it is him. The eyebrows, nose, size of chin and ears all match. He
has that Ted Bundy-esque handsome face. Better looking now than when he was younger. Would stand out in a crowd.
Interesting that Dr. B. was shot and Mrs. B. stabbed...Someone likes the intimacy of a knife as a murder weapon.
Where did you see the information on how they were murdered?
I know we can't link to social media on here. It's sort of frustrating because I can't get into to look at what others are. I Google for VK and every link I get is to a login page. Also this looks to be a Russian site and I am very leery of going to those, so I will take your word for it.
