Sentencing delay for convicted murderer Zachary Mueller

The February 27th court date for the Zachary Mueller is now March 13th. Last month, Mueller was convicted of first degree murder, use of a weapon during a felony and being a felon in possession of a weapon in the death of 33 year old Pedro Dominguez.

Bridgeport man sentenced in 'body in a barrel' case

A Morrill County District Court judge has sentenced a Bridgeport man to life imprisonment in the shooting death of a Colorado man.

In January, a Morrill County District Court jury convicted Zachary Mueller in the November 2015 death of Pedro Dominguez, 33, of Greeley, Colorado. Judge Leo Dobrovolny sentenced Mueller Monday, March 13 on charges of first-degree murder, a Class IA felony; use of a weapon to commit a felony, a Class IC felony; and possession of weapon by a felon, a Class ID felony.

The sentence of life imprisonment on the murder charge was mandatory. Dobrovolny sentenced Mueller to 20 to 40 years imprisonment, to be served consecutively, on both weapons charges.
