TEKAMAH, Neb. —
A Tekamah man went missing early Monday morning and family members said they have been searching for him since 9 a.m.

Police were notified around 11 a.m. that Rolland Metz, 75, was gone from the Tekamah Health and Rehabilitation Nursing Home located near M and 9th streets.


Family said Metz has Parkinson's and dementia has missed two rounds of medication already and is deemed incompetent. They said Metz was last seen wearing blue jeans, black tennis shoes, a black vest puffy, a cream button up long-sleeved shirt and a blue ball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Tekameh Police Department at 402-374-1500.

ETA- A 75-year-old Tekamah man who was reported missing Monday was found alive in a cornfield, according to police.

Rolland Metz left Tekamah Health and Rehabilitation facility on his own around 9 a.m. Monday. Metz, who suffers from dementia, was missing for more than 24 hours before he was spotted by OPD Helicopter Able One in a cornfield Tuesday.

Metz was taken to a local hospital where he is being treated.
