Hansen, 40, was killed on Saturday, January 7 at a Speedee Mart near 138th and Maple.

Police said Thursday that Hansen was an employee of that convenience store.

Sgt. Joe Wherry said something happened in the parking lot, "in which the vehicle was used to kill the victim."

About 50 people attended a First Responders Prayer Walk on Monday evening for Hansen, 40, “a very upstanding person” killed outside the west Omaha Speedee Mart where he worked. Police have announced no arrests in his death...

Lupardus said Hansen was working alone Friday night. He said a garbage bag Hansen was taking to a dumpster after closing was found just outside the front door.

The truck is a white 2001 to 2003 Ford F-150 Super Crew pickup. There's a $25,000 reward for info leading to arrest.

Omaha police have arrested a suspect in the homicide of Seth Hansen...

On Tuesday, Homicide Unit detectives arrested Dirk Blume, 45, for 2nd Degree Murder and Use of a Weapon (not gun) to commit murder...

The suspect vehicle has been located, secured and towed as evidence.

Local media identified Mr Blume as a Real Estate agent, apparently successful. He'd gone through a divorce last year and sounds to have been unraveling since. He showed up right at closing time that night and was demanding the clerk open back up to sell him a can of chewing tobacco, when he got a refusal he waited for Hansen to exit with the trash then ran over him. He apparently drove his car for ten days, going about his usual business, posted house listings on his web site and so on.

Seth was murdered for a can of chew. Just incredible how little another human life means to some people. also there was a 24 hour Walmart nearby the perp could have gone to.

Blume, 46, was sentenced to 11 to 16 years in prison. Blume could be eligible for parole in 5½ years and released in eight years.

Blume had faced up to 70 years in prison.
