Found Deceased NE - Tyler Goodrich, 35, left his house to go on a run, Lincoln, 3 Nov 2023

November 4, 2024

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - This week, the friends and family of Tyler Goodrich are mourning the flip of a calendar page, marking one full year since he went missing.

And still, no footprints, no trail to follow.

“I don‘t want to consider it a cold case,” Jeremy Schwarz, a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office investigator, said. “But at this point in time, right now, we just don’t have any real investigative leads that are fruitful, that are tangible for me to go out and find Tyler.”

Continued at link.

It’s ok to disagree. I see him limping. If I were in immediate danger, I would have run away, too.

MOO, the public isn’t hearing the full story, just one persons side.
Just new to this case. I am a runner (as a hobby) and I can clearly see him limping in that video too, like he cannot land one of his feet properly on the ground because that leg has gone kaputt.
I still have about 13 pages of comments to read; I am going to read those before the theory I have in my head about this case can get fully formed.

When Tyler disappeared, I thought for sure in less than a week we would know what happened. It's such a confusing case. I feel awful for his family.
Ditto, what could have happened to him that he still hasn’t been found? I’d love to think he is alive out there somewhere, but just don’t think thats the case sadly.

I may be wrong (and this is totally IMO) but I feel as though I've seen Lincoln + missing young adults (specifically men) coming up a lot lately. I know it's a decent sized town and has it's good and bad parts/people like most cities, but as someone who has been out that way a bunch over the last several years (for UN stuff) and has family who lives there, I don't really think it's somewhere that would make sense to have all these people missing just in the last year.

Some Bruce McArthur on the loose perhaps?

Just came across this on and then they were gone podcast, haven't had time to read the threads but my instinct is he never left that home alive.

You know there was video released that showed him running away from the home that night, right? Here is one link of many:

It sounds like - both from what I could hear some from this presser and reading updates on his official Facebook missing page - that they believe the body has been there for awhile, sounded like “over a year” per law enforcement. One of the updates on the Facebook page mentioned that this location is approx 1 mile or less (some were saying <1000 yards) from their house. It doesn’t sound like this is an area way off the beaten path.

If it is Tyler confirmed via autopsy on Monday, I hope this discovery is the next step in bringing his family and loved ones some closure. If it is identified as someone else, I hope the very same for that person’s family, friends, and loved one.

If so close, and not far off the beaten path, you'd THINK searchers would have found him before this. Since they didn't, I wonder why? Hidden somewhere?

I can't listen to most of that. I don't think a worse place could have been chosen for a news conference. I mean, what's the rush? Tyler has been gone over a year. Take the time to go back to headquarters where it's quieter. lol

Due to that is there anyone that could hear what was being said after 45 seconds in? TIA
