Found Deceased NE - Tyler Goodrich, 35, left his house to go on a run, Lincoln, 3 Nov 2023

Our family wants to thank every friend, family member, and complete strangers who have and continue to help in any way; big or small, to bring Tyler home. We also want to thank every law enforcement agency that is dedicating so many resources. The amazing work being done and the outpouring of support is a testament to the kind of person Tyler is. My grandmother said it best when she said, ‘This is the kind of thing that happens to other people.’ Unfortunately, we can no longer say that. We all miss Tyler so much. If he were here right now he’d be laughing, he’d be making jokes and bringing joy to everyone. Our immediate family spent the day yesterday, together recharging. We laughed, we cried, and loved one another. There was a huge piece missing though, and that was Tyler. Today we are back out here recharged and determined more than ever to find answers. Someone out there knows information that will lead to us finding Tyler. Please come forward. The pain we feel is unbearable. We are begging you to do the right thing and allow the truth to be spoken, thank you.

Shelley said right now it’s important for people to keep spreading the word of Tyler’s disappearance and get as many feet on the ground as possible.

She thanks those who have taken time out of their day to contribute to finding her firstborn son.

In the meantime, Shelley and the rest of the family continue to work with Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement as the investigation into Tyler’s disappearance continues.

“Tyler we’re praying so hard for you,” Shelley said. “We love you so so much and we just want you home I love you, we all love you.”

Is BBM a pointed statement? I only ask because Shelley does NOT mention her son's husband at all.

Tyler Goodrich

Works at Nebraska Department of Correctional Services

I wasn't aware that Tyler works for DOC. I wonder what he does there, anyone know? I think he used to work in the insurance industry.
Since 2015, the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS), the Division of Parole Supervision (Parole) and the Administrative Office of the Courts and Probation (Probation) have partnered with community providers to facilitate a variety of reentry services to more than 9,400 individuals through the Vocational and Life Skills (VLS) program.

How is the spouse participating in search efforts?
That's always a catch 22. I've seen guilty parties participate in searches and innocent parties not search at all - speaking in hindsight after a case has been solved. So I don't think that's always a reliable indicator.

But I do find the families statement, I posted above interesting - "Someone out there knows information that will lead to us finding Tyler. Please come forward. The pain we feel is unbearable. We are begging you to do the right thing and allow the truth to be spoken, thank you".

Who isn't doing the right thing and allowing the truth to be spoken?

Agree with you on the statement. What strength and determination they have shown. I hope they get answers to their questions.

In the linked LSO press conference above, I get the impression that the call was made at 7:45 pm, because he says the disturbance was 7:45 pm and the missing call was made at 9:35 am. I think the reported argument possibly occurred from 7:30 until the call was made at 7:45. It isn't very clear, though.

This is concerning to me because TG's phone became inactive at 7:41, at the house. I think MV made the phone call because TG was not in a good way. Why else would you call in about a verbal argument? Either he called because TG had left and he was worried about his safety, or TG left because the police had been called under the circumstances. Jmo. There's more to this than we are being told, imo.
NO OFFENSE/UNFOUNDED/FALSE REPORT

This^^^ part of the incident report is interesting. It looks as though whatever the caller initially 'reported' was unfounded and labeled as a false report.

What did M say to get the police to come out there?
It seems it would have to have been either a threat of violence or a fear that T was going to harm himself?

But that threat was unfounded?

Lancaster County Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said the sheriff’s office will meet with the FBI on Thursday to look over the case.
“They’ve offered their assistance,” he said. “They’re concerned, just like we are concerned.”
“You can get a general overall eye from the sky and understand where someone came from and understand the obstacles that are in the way,” he said.
Through the camera, deputies can look for ground disturbances, which could help paint a better picture. For example, they can see where debris has moved.

“Like when you’re wet, you’re carrying stuff with you, and then you’re disturbing the ground,” Bolzer said
This sounds like they are doing flyovers looking for burial sites.

I think the flyovers were looking for him with the assumption he was injured and unable to make his way back home. Your link mentions "thermal imaging" which would capture the heat from his body.

From the phrasing they are using now, such as wanting to bring him safely home, it sounds like they believe he is deceased. I hope I am wrong. This young man sure has a large universe of friends and family who love and care about him.

There is no property associated with this case.

I know there have been some previous timelines posted based on this police report, but they are slightly off. At the very top of this police report, there is the case number, reported, incident code and location with reported indicating when the actual call was placed and the general information section including when the incident was reported to have happened.

REPORTED: 11-03-2023 (FRIDAY) 1947 = 7:47pm (Call Made)

OCCURRED: 11-03-2023 BETWEEN 1730 - 1745 = 7:30pm to 7:45pm (Time period when 'domestic disturbance' was reported to have happened based on information taken by deputy on scene)

I was responding to the part I bolded:

Through the camera, deputies can look for ground disturbances, which could help paint a better picture. For example, they can see where debris has moved.

[to me it sounds like they are looking for fresh burial sites]

Thank you! Seeing as TG's phone went inactive at 7:41, this is why I fear the call was made because MV was concerned for TG's safety. The fight ended, TG left, the call was made. This is just what makes sense to me. Jmo.

Maybe more evidence will come out that shows someone else hurt TG, like someone from within the home, but I'm not focused on that at the moment. Jmo.

Yes, tomorrow night will be a week. His family has posted that this is very unusual behavior for him, so it isn't like he takes off from time to time without communicating. So very disheartening.
Just started following. He’s been gone so long, left when it was dark, was only wearing shorts and a hoodie. He wouldn’t have gone for a run in the dark along semi- rural roadways only wearing gray colors, without a reflective vest or jacket? That’s not safe. Was he in the habit of doing that?

It could be that TG's phone went inactive at 7:41 but Tyler could have been inactive before that time for a few possible reasons. For instance, maybe the 911 DV call was to pretend TG had been present at the home up until that moment.

I agree one wants an attorney when there's an unknown situ like this one but couldn't the husband speak to LE with his attorney present since there is more info they need that he might could provide?

None of this makes sense to me… I’m hoping LE know more than we do. It sounds like they’re thinking that TG met with foul play, which IMO makes less sense than him getting hurt somewhere in the dark or intentionally hurting himself after leaving home, based on the info we have.

Regardless, it has been a week today since Tyler went missing and it doesn’t seem like it’s like him to disappear without warning. I hope his family gets answers soon.

Yes, it's hard to say when we don't have any timeline information prior to the phone call. And I get what you're saying about the attorney, too, but even if MV is innocent of anything, the sudden invasion of LE on his home and belongings would be intimidating.

Honestly, there's maybe more to the story, too...
