Nedra & Patsy's sisters

JR will fly under the radar, live his life and keep his secrets. BR too.
What took me by surprise was that ill-fated run for public office. PR's "Jacquie Kennedy" dreams coming true. They actually felt no one would see them as still under that "umbrella of suspicion" - by the way, is JR still under it?
They truly must have believed that people would see them the way they portrayed themselves- as the wrongfully suspected parents of a murdered child- as victims themselves.

not only that,he ran as a republican !! was he trying to prove something by doing that???

  • #202
You bet! He was trying to portray himself as a conservative, middle America family values guy.
I wonder if he was always a Republican, or if he changed parties to run.

  • #203
He was always that. And as one myself, I'm disgusted with him.

A news article written at the time JR was about to announce his candidacy contains this little gem, after the writer speculates that JR may decide not to run after all:

"To a photographer this week, he said, "In business, I never make a decision until I absolutely have to."
But at the Petoskey appearance Friday, when John Ramsey's early departure left Patsy Ramsey to speak for him, she might have tipped their hand.
"I'm not supposed to say anything official yet," she said, smiling mischievously. "But unofficially, we've got a lot of this stuff sitting in our living room." (emphasis added by Dru)
She was fingering a large red, white and blue button on her ivory-colored suit jacket. It read, "Elect John Ramsey for Michigan House of Representatives.""

I just wanted to share this quote as proof that some seven or eight years after JBR's death, PR's memory miraculously returned, and she was finally able to recall the existence of an actual object in her actual home.

Seriously, though, this kind of thing's just another strike against JR, in my book. It always seems to be the killer who thinks he can get away with anything, no matter how outrageous or audacious (think Scott Peterson, for example).

Is it any wonder why John got so uptight everytime she opened her mouth?

Don't ya know that theres a little...or maybe even big...part of him, that is glad that she is finally gone, so that she won't make anymore of those blunders????

He was practically giddy on LKL. I was just sick when he sat there and said it was okay with him if the killer is never caught - yeah, because that gets you off as well, don't it? She's down in her grave, not saying a word (much to JR's relief, I am sure), and he's grinning like the cat who lapped up all the cream.

You know, someone pointed out Patsy didn't make a deathbed confession - well, we don't know that, do we? She may very have spilled the beans before she passed, and none of us would ever know, because anyone who would hear it would never let that be known. I keep hoping that Burke will have something to say after JR's gone.

Wasn't the only person in the room when she died, John Ramsey? If she had of made a death bed confession, she would have been confessing to someone that was in on it with her. That wouldn't have been too productive...LOL John probably would have started to smother her with a pillow, if she had of tried to make a death bed confession with anyone else in the room.

many of the things touched on in this topic are the reason for creating such a topic. I will always find it hard to deal with the fact that if PR & JR Ramsey were involved in this crime (and the evidence clearly supports this notion), how could they live with themselves? how could their family support such people? how do you look at yourself in the mirror knowing you killed an innocent blond angel? how do you shove things into your daughter's vagina or strangle her in a staging effort? most of all, how do you claim to believe in the goodness of God knowing that you commited a sin that he surely won't forgive you for. In the end, I know that if i happened to kill my child, I would have to confess because it would destroy me on the inside.... i guess some people can rationalize anything away...... truely makes me wonder about humanity..

Human beings are capable of unspeakable horrors. We are also capable of exquisite kindness and love. That's the nature of the beast.
But would any one here, after a loved one, especially your innocent young CHILD, was brutally assaulted and murdered, say that it doesn't matter to you whether the killer was ever caught????
You know you would spend your dying day trying to find out who committed that crime!
That comment by JR alone is enough to convince me beyond a doubt that he and his wife were responsible in some way.

No, but John Ramsey thinks we are all idiots, probably because he gets away with this bull$$h#@ on every show he is on, especially with Larry King, who may be the worst interviewer known to man - looks like hungover frog and interrupts every chance he gets.

The Ramseys put all their effort into winning this election. Time and money...

It makes me angry to think that John would even think of running for office when the murderer of his daughter is on the loose.

He said he would spend every last waking moment and every dime to catch his daughters killer....

I guess he just moved on.

that reminds me of what they said after the murder..that they just wanted to move on w. their lives.(which I think they said in hopes LE would back off)

I don't know,I thought it was said there was a minister there, too?
And that PR said something like,'I guess there are some things in life you can't take back' ..(?)

And I read somewhere that when asked what Patsy would have to say to JonBenet when they meet up again, she said, "We need to talk."

Does that sound bizarre to anyone else? That's what my mother used to say to me when I was in trouble, or what I say to my husband when I have bad news to share with him.

yes it does,as in,'you should have listened to me and done what I said, and you wouldn't have been hurt(fatally) if you had' ??

its simply hard to believe that patsy can say her daughter is with God and believe she is going there too. Simply put, the Ramseys are not true Christians if they can live with themselves. This notion plays into the belief i have that JR and PR told Hoverstock of what they had done and begged to be forgiven.. I think Burke is the only possible source of the truth someday..

Sure they are. And I agree with you ....I would fight until my last breath, to find the murdererer of my child. I could not even imagine saying "that it doesn't matter to me if the killer was ever caught". Of course it doesn't matter to them, because THEY ARE the KILLERS, so of course they don't care if the killer was ever caught. I am guessing though, that secretly they hoped that the killer(s) would NEVER be caught. One of them went to her grave, with that wish. Imo

Its easy to say you would spend every last waking moment and every dime to catch his daughter's killer....when he doesn't have to lose much sleep, or even spend ONE PENNY, because he knows who the killer is. IMO He was ready to "move on" , the morning of the 26th....he was already on the phone making plans to get the heck out of Dodge.
