neighbors being questioned about handyman

I dont know if I would call him an alcoholic. He got told to leave a bar.

I've been told to leave a bar many many years ago. I wasn't spitting on people but---well I got asked to leave for something else (dancing where I wasn't supposed to).

I've been drunk (even at a bar) but I'm not an alcoholic.

I'm not sure I agree with theorizing he is a drug user either. He's not a suspect or POI. LE just wants to talk to him.

Just my two cents.

I was just going on the stories of him living in an abandoned house and being drunk quite often, and stealing from the bar and the grocery store and a few homes. But if it is not true that he lived in the house, then I may be offbase. But he is on parole, missed his mandatory meeting, and skipped out of his halfway house. So there may be cause for concern that he has a substance abuse problem. imoo

I think the drinking problem statements come from reports of him walking down the street with a gallon o' whiskey. :floorlaugh:

homeless, stealing from the grocery store, missing from his halfway house, breaking into houses in lisa's neighborhood and not being seen since lisa disappeared doesn't make him a kidnapper but it is a sure way to get yourself on LE's radar. Hopefully today is the day they find him.
The report did not say that he "broke into people's houses". It said that he had stolen from homes. Because he lived in two of those homes, he might have walked off with his roommates' cds or booze collection. This is not good, but it would be very different that breaking and entering. We don't know what his supposed crimes are.

Whew, thanks for the videos and info everybody! I think I am up to speed on the handyman thanks to you all....yep sounds like they need to talk to him at the very least. Glad we know that its all one guy and not a bunch of them. That makes it a little easier to follow. I sure hope he is just missing because he found some work somewhere and will contact LE and clear things up. The parole thing worries me though. Why wouldn't he check in?

I haven't seen anything about him being on parole, just that he was supposed to be at a halfway house and he hadn't reported into there. maybe the halfway house is for people on parole, but again i didn't see anything about that.

Usually because they are in violation of parole.

sorry still trying to catch up.....have they determined who the guy was that Lisas mum was buying alcohol with. I know they havent seen this guy since before lisa went missing but could it be him?

I don't know of any homes he lived at in the area. Jersey's girlfriend's landlord said he was told Jersey had been stealing from the grocery store and breaking into homes around the neighborhood.

It's been acknowledged by family that the man at the store was her brother.

Jersey is the handyman who hasn't been seen since saturday night. Lisa's mother was at the store with her brother, not jersey.

No, the guy at the store was actually her 20 yr old brother. So that whole thing is a red herring, imo. I bet she even bought the wine for him, since you see him slip her $ at the checkout counter.

Who has never bought wine for their 20 yr old sibling before?

The guy with DB at the grocery store was her brother.

Halfway houses are for people who are transitioning from prison to outside life and yes they have rules and curfews and parole officers. They are very limited as far as activities, they have to sign in and out, I don't believe they are allowed to drink. Basically go to work and have a couple hours but be home at a certain time and even locked in I think.

This is what I recall from my cousin having a boyfriend who lived in one (yes she is one of those women who married guys in prison)

Northland resident XXXX XXXXXXX, who used to rent a room to Jersey's girlfriend, says that Jersey was an occasional guest until XXXXXXX kicked the woman out of the home near 36th and North Brighton in August for not paying rent. The home is just two doors down from one with a backyard well searched by police on Wednesday.

"He was suppose to be at a halfway house for awhile and he hadn't reported into there and they were hunting him pretty hard because he had multiple charges against from Maccaluso's. I guess he had been stealing from there and breaking into homes around the neighborhoods is what they told me," said XXXXXXX.

(2nd hand news, XXXX is relating what he says he was told).

at about 1:20 mark

XXXX XXXXXXX relates that LE told him that "Jersey" stopped visiting his parole officer.

Again second hand news.

Uh...about 30 million Americans have a substance abuse problem. :)
13 million are using illegal drugs and 15 million abuse alcohol

There are also halfway houses for people that have just been discharged from various substance abuse programs (includes alcohol).
