Netflix or Amazon Prime recommendations

I started watching a really weird show on Netflix last night, there are 4 seasons, and I watched a few episodes of the first season last night. "The Sinner".

It is interesting to watch. If anyone else has watched it, what do you think?!
Hopefully they ended S4 without a cliff-hanger since they cancelled it. :(

Apparently, each season is separate. With the detective in each show. It follows a separate case each season.

The first season is interesting. I won't give it away. But I rarely find any shows interesting any longer.

PERFECT!!!! I love when they do that. Especially if a show cancels. There's been a few that left me hanging. Del Toro's the Strain was one of them. Can you imagine if they just decided to cancel GOT before the end? Not that the ending was all that... it was a tad disappointing for a lot.

I just checked out the audio book that the series is based on, apparently it is very "dark". Love that. Since I am "snowbound" today, doing organizing, this is perfect.

I didn't watch the first season as the reviews I read were not that good. I did watch the other three seasons which had absorbing stories. I usually think of Bill Pullman with lighter material but he was excellent with darker material.

Our Netflix subscription ends tomorrow so we’ve picked a short film for tomorrow night. We’ve taken a short peek and we’re hooked. Weird, funny and fast paced, I hope it doesn’t get too much after a while. It’s Roald Dahl’s The Wondeful Story of Henry Sugar, with Ralph Finnes and Benedict Cumberbatch, it won the Oscar for Best live action short film last year.

Thank you for your recommendation! This looks right up my alley!

We ended up switching to something else. I liked the style and all, but the narration was just too fast for us and found it difficult to follow even with the captions on. Granted, we are not native English speakers so our experience is affected by this, but I refuse to watch movies translated in my language, I feel like too much gets lost in translation.

"The Intern" with Anne Hathaway and Robert DeNiro

Astroworld Documentary
I just cannot do DeNiro in a comedy, he seems to be accepting every movie offered to him these days. He deserves much better material, I don't understand it. Money I guess, it's always about the money.
Speaking of, I watched Mountianhead the other day, very much enjoyed it. Funny to see billionaires together and what they discuss amongst themselves in private. The egos, good god. Like, seriously discussing taking over the world, toppling foreign governments and engineering a coup d'etat. They actually believe they are smart enough, experienced enough and powerful enough to succeed in these things. Because they own successful tech businesses. Jeez. I did wonder if it was all BS and they KNEW it was BS, they just like talking about these things to feed their egos. I guess that was the whole point of the movie...
