Because they regard children as property that they can dispose of as and when they want.

Dat heeft de politie bevestigd. Zij maakten de afweging om op dat moment niet in te grijpen.

jeffrey and emma’s mom had already been worried about them and alerted the police on friday night after receiving worrying text messages from their dad. the police visited the father and children but didn’t see a reason to intervene.

on saturday morning the father visited friends in germany. his friends hid his car keys because he was so emotional and they were worried he would do “something stupid”. he ended up using his spare keys to the car.

it’s so saddening my heart goes out to their mom and everyone who loved jeffrey and emma.
