I’ve been roaming through Interpol and here are some other possibilities I came across. Though I suppose they must have compared her to Interpol’s missing persons’ database already.

1) Tatiana Kunai, went missing in 2001 in Belarus when she was 16.
- INTERPOL

2) Anna Vidziailo, went missing in 2005 in Belarus at 14.
- INTERPOL

European countries exchange data, there are agreements about that.

This woman probably wasn't reported missing. Or she is not included in the INTERPOL database. But if we can search there, so can the police.

Have to add that Interpol started the database in 2010

"Additionally, a project is under way to create the first ever police database to identify and link missing persons and unidentified bodies on an international level. The Fast and Efficient International Disaster Victim IDentification (FASTID) Project was launched in 2010 with an overall budget of almost EUR 3 million.

Led by INTERPOL and partly funded by the European Commission, the project will establish an international system to manage enquiries concerning missing persons and unidentified bodies in the event of disasters as well as day-to-day policing and will result in the creation of a global Missing Persons and Unidentified Bodies (MPUB) database."

Sorry, sarcastic laugh....I saw this a long long time ago....and I thought wauwww finally....now it's 2018.... for real...even talked about it with my friend...let's make our own database.....

Good finds...but for both girls the heights are off. UID is really small...

I'm down with that. Can help with Dutch cases and maybe German.

So glad this case is brought to a bigger audience....searched for her so very long already. Nice to do it "together". More eyes, more opportunities.

Just noting that another woman was also found in a suitcase circa 2015..
Body in suitcase thrown in Maastricht river was a white woman - DutchNews.nl
August 31, 2015
"The body found hidden in a suitcase in the Maas river in Maastricht on Friday is that of a white woman aged 40 to 60, police said on Sunday. They have now appealed for help in identifying the woman in Belgium and Germany as well as the Netherlands because of Maastricht’s central location."

Also in water.

This case kind of reminds me of a Belgian unidentified murder victim who has only recently been identified (approx. 10 years after her body was found). She was found in the dunes near the coast and even though she had a tattoo and wore rather unique jewelry, nobody came forward to identify her which baffled the entire country. Eventually she was identified through DNA after her mother reported her missing in Bulgaria. It turned out she had moved to the Netherlands to start working there illegally. She kept in contact with her family and visited often. When her family failed to hear from her and couldn’t contact her, her mom went to the local police which eventually got the ball rolling. (It is thought she was murdered by her boyfriend when they made a trip to Calais)

I suspect this woman/girl is foreign as well. Her young age and the clothes she was wearing make me wonder if maybe she was part of a gipsy community. Her features in the more recent digital sketch make me thing she might be.

It would explain the hair dye as well. Most gipsy women have black hair so it could be that in order to stand out in her community she coloured her hair. It’s not easy to dye black hair, especially if you’re doing it yourself and likely using cheap products. It could be that “brown” was the best result she was able to get.

So sad :( I had not heard about the Bulgarian UID.

Yes, she could be of a gypsy community. I am assuming, from what BOH has told me, that we're already discussing human trafficking here? A lot of HT victims are forced to dye/cut their hair to avoid being identified. She could honestly be from anywhere.

Actually I thing we need people with a Mother tongue in Romanian, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Russian, Ukraine and other East European country's to explore the mostly unofficial missing persons cases in those country's.

I'll take the Bulgarian ones.

Can we rule out anyone "in the system"? Or no?

Example: Usually we hear in US cases that we can rule out anyone in NamUs due to LE having checked out the whole entire system.

I'm not saying this is a HT case necessarily, it's just a possibility. I think in Europe they are well aware of the official missing persons databases in different country's and will exchange them. But if a family member "sells" a girl, what is actually happening sometimes in the poorest country's of Eastern-Europe (Moldova for instance), she is not reported missing. This would also be the case if this is a domestic crime. Maybe she told her family she was traveling abroad to find her luck there, lost contact and everybody thinks she is living somewhere happy or she was estranged from her family. All kinds of possibilities. Maybe the family was even threatened not to look any further.

I hope the Dutch police checked this woman out. http://www.npt.lt/lt/neseniai_dingusio_asmens_anketa-93.html Jolanta Kuönskaité (Kučinskaitė), from Lithuania missing since 4-4-2004

On the official missing persons site of Lithuania they made a big mistake about her age on the time this woman went missing. They say she was 27 but according to her birthdate (1981-06-17) she was 23 when she went missing. She is not on Interpol. According to this file she has blue eyes, which is a big BUT.... I wish we could see the complete picture of her ID....

Description (translated from Lithuanian):
height 162 cm, small body composition, hair straight, dark colored up to shoulder length, eyes-blue, face - oval, forehead-middle, eyebrows - curved, nose - small. Wearing: blue sports trousers with white stripes on the side (maybe she liked those kind of clothes..UID blue sports trousers with black stripes, or maybe just totally coincidental) , black sports shoes and black sweaters. According to an interview with her mother her hair was dyed chestnut-brown at the time she went missing.

There's a Romani market in Hoensbroek. If there's a flier for her in Dutch/German I can ask them if they would hang it in their store. (I am in Limburg on vacation currently.)

That would be great, I never saw a flyer though.
